You and the samurai keep walking. "My name is Mizu." He said out of the blue. "The only reason why I'm telling you is because you're quiet and I can tell you won't go away." He said. "Why didn't you tie me to the tree?" You asked. "Because you're different." He immediately replied almost cutting you off.

You both make it to a shrine you wait outside to give him privacy while he prays.

After a few minutes Mizu walks out and you follow close behind. The walk is silent but it's not an awkward silence it's a comfortable silence.

After walking a little longer you both make it to a village. Mizu looks at the village and takes off his orange tinted glasses and reveals his beautiful blue eyes. You were staring at his eyes without realizing.

"Woah.." You whisper.

Mizu turns his head towards you. "What." He puts his glasses back on. "Oh! Sorry.. your eyes are just really beautiful." You reply.

"Hm." He starts walking with you following.

A couple moments later you both are waiting in line to enter. Since this is your first time waiting to enter a village you're nervous, scared, and shy. So you instinctively hold Mizu's hand. He looks down at you holding his hand and looks forward, not minding you holding his hand.

"Come on, people. Keep it moving. Let's go." You hear an inspector yell.

You look down and see a child looking back at you. The child quickly turns away after you made eye contact.

"Next!" The inspector yells and the mother of the child moves forward.

The mother hands the guard her travel pass.

"This travel pass is invalid." The inspector tells the mother.

She whispers saying, "It's my husband's."

The inspector whispers back, "It's invalid without him."

"Next!"

"He died. I make the baskets. He only sold them. Please. Or I can't feed my children." She gets down to her child's height. "You know the rules. Women can't travel without a chaperone."

You and Mizu let go of each others hands. "Next!" He yells as the mother cries. "Travel pass." The inspector says, wanting the travel pass from Mizu. Instead of pulling out a travel pass Mizu pulls out some tsuho coins and hands it to the inspector. "Next." Says the inspector, allowing them to two into Kyoto. Both you and Mizu looking at the crying women with pity before turning away and entering Kyoto.
