Drue's POV

This was it Drue, you got another chance to prove yourself and allow them to hear you. I open my eyes and I focus my attention on the lady in white.

This time I had all her attention so I had no other choice but to leave an impression on her.

I listen for the beat and just let go...

To my surprise they allowed me to go into the second verse and when I hit the chorus again that when someone yelled stop.

They were whispering to each other but the lady in white, Miss King, didn't take her eyes off me this time. I smiled at her.

"Singer Drue, you wrote that?" she asked.

Hold composure Drue..

"Yes and did and the one I sang before," I answered.

The A&R whispered something to her and she held up a finger at him.

"Singer Drue, will you be available for an interview this Friday at 8am at the same place here?"

"Yes ma'am" I answered quickly.

"Thank you, please listen for a call and it was good that you came back, I like that, that's determination to me" she said.

"Thanks for giving me a second chance."

I took my thumb drive from the selector, gave the mic back to the guy that was waiting and Keefer and I headed outside. Upon walking out I was met with a round of applause from everyone there.

"Wah Artists, mi love how yuh show dem seh yuh want this and yuh guh for it," One man said to me.

"Respect."

That was mostly my reply to everyone who showed me admiration for my determination. When we got into the car, that's when I showed my excitement.

"Bomboclaaat.... Dawg a wah me just do?" I yelled as the car drove out the studio complex.
