The Break Up
They returned where the terrible accident occurred. Victoria stopped the train to see Murasaki and Midori on the remains of the Kuro. It was no surprise to her to see that Zaidy's ship was in the area. Surely she called on the radio frequency to know how the robbery was going. The Captain still couldn't find words of encouragement for the crew. Not only had she lost a ship and good airmen, she knew very well that two aircraft could not lift the wagon.
Her anxiety did not let her wait for the locomotive to stop completely. Once it began to slow down, Victoria jumped on the ground and began to walk through her ships.
- I told you it was dangerous. - With those words Zaidy received her. Victoria could feel the negativity in the environment. The only way she could distract her crew was by telling them to divide everything in the wagon on both airships. - Soon the air guard with another locomotive with Centaurs will arrive.
Victoria remained silent for a moment. She looked to the side feeling a strong lump in her throat. The Captain remembered the promise she had made to Lando to resign as a leader if the robbery failed and that was the time.
- We must divide in both ships what we can. - She said in a discouraged tone. - How long for the airplanes to arrive?
- Not much - Zaidy replied - you already heard her take out only the most important. We have around ten minutes to divide everything. Lemi marked the time. - Ordered Zaidy.
- Thank you - Victoria replied
- I'll take the Murasaki with who want to go with me, I don't plan to face you, but I don't want to be led by you anymore.
- I understand. - Victoria answered, still surprised to hear those words. Victori decided not to face Zaidy and not create a riot among her men.
After ten minutes each airmen was divided between the two ladies and set off on their own course.
- What are your orders Captain? - Little Lemi questioned, Victoria turned around and realized that she still had the same ones who helped her in the robbery, some wounded and beaten but loyal to her.
- Let's go home.
Two days later the passengers of the locomotive arrived at their destination. Many were disappointed, others still traumatized and mostly bothered by the events they experienced.
Each passenger met with different people who were waiting for them. Layla and Elinka went down on the platform where their parents were waiting for them. The meeting of the four was somewhat emotional between tears and joys. Elinka kept talking about the adventure they lived and how fantastic Layla's hook had been.
After them, the locomotive was approached by Centaurs who would go to the accident site to help others who were already in the area, apparently going to analyze the accident of the flying ship. Wyatt and Rigel watched the brave soldiers departing for what was left of the action. Both without inventions to wear at the fair walked towards the town.
- Well, I have a debt with lapidaries, I must earn income. – Admitted Rigel.
- We can bet, or rob a bank.
- Nothing illegitimate Wyatt. - Rigel replied looking at a store with a sign:
"Centaurs wanted; men and women who wish to serve the Kingdom. Three meals a day guaranteed and paid every week. Come in and talk to an officer."
- Three free meals a day Reggie and pay every week.- Wyatt said.
- Serve the wonderful Kingdom, - he answered, adjusting his glasses. – Let us go ahead!
- That way they will protect me when your girlfriend comes to kill me.
- I already told you that she is not my girlfriend, just because she knew about combat theories... - they both continued on their way to the entrance of the store. Elinka in the distance watched them. The girl knew very well where they were going and how they would go. Her father called her to join them towards the fair, after all, it was where Layla wanted to go.
- I'm so sorry about your hook. - She told her sister taking her by the arm. - I know how much you sacrificed for doing it.
- Don't worry, I have an idea for something better and innovative, flying boots. - Layla answered hitting her other hand with her fist, very sure of herself.
- How are you going to get some boots to make someone fly?
- Well, I have to make a good design first of all. – answered Layla.
- With your drawings? No one will understand them.
- If you keep talking like this I will not give you an interview when you are a reporter.
- Investigator researcher - Elinka answered as they headed to their parents.
