Will woke up to the sound of his alarm going off. He hated the loud and obnoxious noise. Remembering what it's for and its effectiveness in getting him up, he sat up from his bed. Turning off the alarm, and placing the device down, he slowly rose from the bed and rubbed his eyes.

Walking over to his closet, Will picked out some of his favorite clothes for the first day back at school. He didn't care much about others' opinions on his appearance. He used to care heavily about it but soon realized, his body his choice.

Will put on his pants, and carried his shirt with him to the bathroom to avoid getting it dirty while brushing his teeth. He doesn't know how he gained this habit as Jonathan nor Joyce participated in the 'teeth before shirt' routine.

After brushing his teeth and washing his face, he put on his shirt and adjusted his hair. His hair never needed much effort since it wasn't as long as his brothers, Jonathan. He finished up and ran down the stairs and put on his shoes.

"Stop running down my stairs and take this food." His mom instructed, handing him a plate of eggs and bacon.

"So sorry! Thank you, Mom!" Will quickly ate his food.

Jonathan chuckled at their mom scolding Will. This wasn't funny to Will, he rolled his eyes at his chuckling brother.

After eating, he said his goodbyes before leaving, making sure to grab his stuff.

Hopping on his bike, he sped to school. Will felt the wind blowing in his face. Wills bike ride was moderately short so he made it to school just on time.

After locking his bike next to a blue one, he walked over to where his group of friends usually met, only finding Mike.

Will quickly rubbed his face to hide any redness from being out of breath as it was embarrassing to be 'messy' in the morning to Will. Mike obviously didn't care as his face was bright red when he first came to school.

"Mike!" Will waved to Mike with a smile."Hey!" He shouted and walked over.

Mike turned to him with his goofy smile, bruises still visible on his face, causing Will's heart to skip a beat, the bruises weren't as visible last night.

"Hi, Will!" Mike waved back, looking down at him to speak. "The rest aren't here yet."

Will nodded as Mike spoke and looked at his face, specifically the bruises that started to darken over night.

"Oh, Mike..." He touched Mike's face, finally feeling the bruises and cuts. "What happened?"

"Oh, uh, it's nothing. Don't worry!" For a moment, Will saw Mike's face go red.

"Mike-" Will tried to speak.

Mike shook his head before Will could finish. "I'm fine, Will."

Will sighed with a smile. "Just let me kiss your boo-boo, you big baby."

Mike fluttered his eyelashes at the thought of Will kissing him. They kissed many times before but Mike got butterflies in his tummy every time.

"You're a terrible liar, you know that?" Will teased, concern still lingering in his eyes.

Mike rolled his eyes, but a faint smile played on his lips. "Yeah, yeah. Let's just say I had a run-in with some jerks. Nothing I couldn't handle."

"I'm sure you can handle anything. Being all big and strong, you know?" Will joked, moving his hands to Mike's biceps, giving them a squeeze.

Mike rolled his eyes as Will kissed his cheek. The rest of the party saw this from the bushes, not fully shocked by the kiss.

"He literally kissed him? Are you sure they aren't together?" Max spoke, scoffing.

She clearly had plans but was caught up to spy on Will and Mike per Dustins request.

"If they were together, they would be kissing on the lips and hugging and whatnot," Lucas retorted, making Max roll her eyes.

Lucas and Max broke up last year due to Lucas telling her that he expressed feelings for someone other than her. Max felt the same but neither told each other about the new person they wanted to project their love on.

"Quick question, guys! How are we even going to get the two together?" El asked, making all of them look back at her.

"We get them alone together, and maybe they'll really kiss or something. We haven't thought that far," Dustin said, excited as ever. He turned back to where the boys were standing, but they both were gone. "Where did they go?" Dustin asked stood up.

Lucas, El, and Max stood up with him, equally as confused.

"We have to find them!" Dustin exclaimed.

"Nah, Dusty. I got some classes right now." Max grabbed her bag, patted his back and, walked in the school.

"Yeah, dude. You got that." Lucas hugged Dustin before he could walk away, Dustin kissed his cheek. Lucas smiled and grabbed his bag before walking away.

"I'll help!" El smiled and grabbed her bag.

Dustin smiled, grabbed his bag and, ran with El chasing after him.

Mike told Will he had something very important and private. Will hoped it wasn't bad.

They were stopped in the alleyway behind the school.

"So... What's up, Mike? What's so important?" Will asked, and Mike didn't speak for a second.

Will noticed Mike's fiddling hands and grabbed them. "Whenever you're ready, you can talk, Mike."

"Will, I-I" Mike seemed nervous and scared.

"Mike-"

"I like y- El!" Mike's smile faded, and so did Will's.

Will dropped Mikes hands and spoke. "Oh! I'm sure she'll like you too." Will sighed, feeling his heart drop.

Mike sighed. "Shit." He muttered, regretting what he said.

Will's tone changed but he put on a fake smile. "I have to go, Mike. I'll see you in class." He walked away silently.

As soon as he walked away, Mike kicked the bottle next to his foot and sat against the wall.

He was so close to telling him, and he messed up? What the hell is wrong with him? Why can't he do anything right?

He could've told him just then! They were alone, and the heartbreak wouldn't have been that bad. Well, Mike didn't know if it would end in heartbreak or happiness as Will was a confusing and unpredictable individual.

"Why the hell am I so dumb?" Mike spoke, picking up the stick next to him. He stabbed at things, deep in thought.

"I can give you a few reasons why." Mike heard the scoff and immediately jumped. He looked up to see who the noise was coming from.
