Enmity: A tale of Love and Despair ( A HP Fanfiction)

Prologue

James and Lily Potter were sitting in the Headmaster's Office in the Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft with their newborn twins, Harry and Jasmine, in their arms, when the headmaster Albus Dumbledore started to talk.......

" What do you mean by that, Albus! " exclaimed James.

" I'd like to request you to calm down, James. And to answer your question, what I meant was that according to the prophecy made to me by Sybill Trelawny, a child born at the end of July to the couple who had defied Voldemort 3 times will have the power to defeat him and Voldemort himself will choose him or her as equal. Now, there are 3 such children - two of them are your children— Harry and Jasmine, while the third child is Neville Longbottom, born to Frank and Alice Longbottom. I have information that Voldemort has chosen your children but I don't want to take any risks. So, I am asking you as  I have the Longbottoms,  to hide yourselves ." explained Albus Dumbledore.

" But how? Wherever we go, Voldemort will easily be able to find us.", Lily asked worriedly as Harry began to whimpering in her arms.

"By performing the Fidelius Charm. You will choose a person, or a Secret Keeper, to confide your whereabouts in , so that no one will be able to extract your location or find you in any way, unless the Secret Keeper himself or herself gives the information to someone. As for that, I'd like to offer you to make me your Secret Keeper, only if you want."

" Thank you, Albus. But if anyone's going to be our Secret Keeper, that's going to be Sirius.", Said James.

" Very well. I suppose you'd like to talk to Sirius yourself. However, I suggest you come to me the moment you need any kind of help." 

"Of course, Professor.", said Lily

" I see Harry is getting impatient, unlike his sister. I think he is hungry. I suppose you want to leave now. I'll see you out.", said Albus.

" Sure, Albus." 

Albus escorted the Potter family  outside the Hogwarts ground from where they apparated to their home, in the Potter manor.

In the evening, when Sirius came to visit, he went up to the nursery to see his  godchildren. After playing with him for a little, the twins fell asleep. After putting the babies in their respective cots, Sirius came down to the living room where Lily and James were chatting with each other.

" Hello Padfoot.", said James while Sirius settles down on he couch next to James.

" Lily and I wanted to talk to you about something."

" Sure. Go on.", said Sirius.

James started," This morning, we visited Dumbledore and he told us that Voldemort is looking for our kids to kill them. He told us to go into hiding by performing the Fidelius Charm. I think you're familiar with the concept of the Fidelius Charm, aren't you?" Sirius nodded in agreement. " Good. Well then I guess you know what a secret keeper does . Dumbledore wanted to be our secret keeper, but Lily and I both think that you should be our Secret Keeper. So, what do you think?" Said James.

The look on Sirius's face worried James and Lily so they were really surprised when Sirius said yes. So , in the next few days, they prepared for performing the Fidelius Charm. On the day they were supposed to perform the Charm, Lily and James were waiting for Sirius while the twins were sleeping in the nursery upstairs. The tense silence in the house was suddenly broken by a whooshing sound as green fire appeared in the fire place. Out of the fire stepped an unsmiling Sirius followed by...
