"A-yaun, baby, wake up..." Xiao Zhan called out to the little kid who seemed to be fast asleep.  

"Baby, good morning.... Look at your dada...." Wang Yibo joined too, cooing and tickling the baby on his sides to wkae him up.

"Don't do that." Zhan swatted his hands away, "Don't tickle him while he is still asleep."

Yibo pouted, "But then, how do you wake him up?"

"Keep calling out to him, he would wake up." Zhan said, calling out to the baby who just stirred but did not wake up.

"A-yaun, sweetheart.... It is time to wake up..."Zhan continued while Yibo knelt down on the floor beside the cot and began to keep repeating the baby's name.

"Nghhh..." A-yaun groaned and turned around to the other side, continuing his sleep and not showing any signs of waking up.

"Zhan Ge, he is very sleepy... why don't we just let him sleep some more? He will wake up once he has enough sleep." Yibo commented.

Initially he had wanted to wake up the baby but now, looking at how A-yaun would not wake up, he just could not bring himself to stir awake the sleeping baby.

"Alright then, Second Master Wang, how about we let him sleep till noon and have breakfast in the evening, just like his father?" Zhan asked, crossing his arms over.

Wang Yibo rolled his eyes at that. "That was all before. Now, I don't sleep until noon. Even today, I woke up before you, didn't I?"

"That was because you were too excited for the day to begin. If it were any other days, you would have slept soundly until noon."

"Zhan Ge, I am saying the truth." Wang Yibo sweared. "Ever since you left back then," his voice turned low, "I have never been able to sleep. I would stay up all night. It was torturous and after a very long time, last night, I had a bit of sleep. A very relaxing one."

Xiao Zhan was dumbstruck by Wang Yibo's declaration. He never for once realized that Yibo would have gone through everything just like him. Just like how he suffered!

"I... I am sorry..." Zhan could not bring himself to say anything else. He had a lump in his throat and he tried to ignore it. This was not the time for grieve over the past. It was tine to make it right.

Wang Yibo gave him a smile that was not quite a smile. "You don't have to be, Zhan Ge. You were not at fault. May be, it was our destiny. It's alright anyways, we are together now. This is all that matters."

"Right." Xiao Zhan nodded. "We are together now. This is all that matters." He repeated. He did not know why he said it out loud but those words were very comforting and his heart felt very light.

"So, Zhan Ge, shouldn't we let our baby sleep some more?" Wang Yibo asked with his innocent eyes hoping Zhan would be convinced but unfortunately his omega wasn't.

Xiao Zhan got back to his stern face and glared, "If he doesn't practice to wake up around eight from now on, then with time, it would be even hard to wake him up at ten in the morning. Mr. Wang, if you do not mind, could you please wait aside while I wake him up?"

"Zhan Ge!" Yibo humped. "When did you change so much! When I ask you something before, you would definitely agree, but now, you nor only refuse me you even ask me to wait aside! Hmph..."

"Yibo, he is growing up. If we don't instill such small things on him from now on, he would be lazy in the future. I don't want him to be like that."

"But he is still three!" Yibo argued.

"He is already three! Waking up early is not hard. Moreover, it's already eight!

"Zhan Ge, be good, please... let's let him sleep some more. Okay?" Yibo asked in a pleading tone. He just wanted to let the baby sleep some more!

Xiao Zhan sighed. He knew this Wang Yibo well. He was so in love with babies that he would never understand some things. Even if he do, he would still pretend not to understand so as to let the kid get whatever it desires.

Xiao Zhan knew that he no more had any say in this and Wang Yibo would remain stubborn in letting A-yaun sleep. Shaking his head in defeat, he compromised. "Only till I finish my shower."

"Okay!" Yibo beamed showing a thumbs up.

With one final look at the father and son, Xiao Zhan retreated to the bathroom for a soothing shower.

When Xiao Zhan returned from his shower, he heard voices at the hall. He padded down the hallway to find Wang Yibo sitting at the table cutting up some toast and eggs in front of A-Yuan.

"Good morning, A-yaun! When did you wake up?" exclaimed Xiao Zhan as he walked towards them.

A-Yuan squealed and looked up in delight at his baba.

"He woke up as soon as you left. Amy be he was awaken by my 'dada charms'

Xiao Zhan 'pfft'ed at Wang Yibo and kissed A-yaun on his cheeks.

"Did you wake up by your daddy's 'dada charms'?" He asked the baby.

A-yaun just giggled at his baba.

"See, he is even eating his breakfast happily." Yibo couldn't hide his pride in feeding the baby.

"Of course, he would be happy. Did you ask him to wash up before eating?"

"Eh...." Wang Yibo scratched his head. "That... eh... I... I forgot..."

"Exactly." Xiao Zhan spoke. "It's alright if you forgot to wash him up but, let me ask you, did you wash up yourself before breakfast?"

"That...." Yibo did not really know how he was going to answer this. "Actually... I... I was about to... then... I..."

"So, like father like son, right?" Zhan commented.

Wang Yibo just tried to eat his egg, pretending not to hear his omega's words.

"Yibo, today must be the first and the last." Zhan warned.

"Yes!" Yibo instantly yelled, making Zhan's heart go all week.

"Is it to your liking A-Yuan?" Zhan asked the little boy.

"Isn't he enjoying already?" Yibo interrupted. "Here, why don't you eat one for yourself?" Yibo asked, feeding a piece of toast to Zhan.

Zhan munched it and hummed, making Yibo smile with pride. He then stuffed another piece in.

"You eat too." Zhan too fed a piece to Yibo. And thus the family of three sat in the hall having their breakfast and the couple could not help but regret all the time that they had missed.
