[[ This just tells the story of Kals so you know why he is a swear :D]]
The eight noble and highly respected dragons gathered around a table. The biggest one with pitch-black scales which had a lava-like outlining cleared his throat.
"We have gathered here tonight to discuss the possibility of separating the Frostbitten Isles into seven regions", he eyed the other dragons. They were rulers of the islands.
"Yes, that is correct, Kalsaim", a dragon named Mars nodded his head respectfully. He ruled over the Backstabber island with an iron grisp.
"Exactly. We have spoken about this before, but we never got anywhere, so now we'll decide what we will do", Venus, a sapphire-scaled tsunami dragon stated. He was the ruler of Lizard's Tail.
"I undestand your concerns, Kals, but it's the most logical thing to do. We all crave independence, don't we?" a dragon named Jupiteria said. She was the ruler of the Pomegranate island.
"I fully understand that you want to be able to rule over your regions without help, but I am afraid that if I let you do that, conflict will occur", Kalsaim stated.
Mars narrowed his eyes, "Well, you see, Kals, this isn't exactly your decision. It's ours, and if we decide what we will do, there's really nothing you or anyone else can do about", he said firmly and puffed out his chest.
"I am embarassed to admit that Mars is right. You've been ruling over all of the seven islands for centuries. It's starting to feel like you just want power", Mercurius, the ruler of Screeching Claws admitted.
The rules kept arguing for months, for years, actually. But they never came to an agreement, until Mars, the ruler of the Backstabber island proposed an idea or a threat, to Kalsaim.
"If we don't get our indepence, we will have to fight for it, Kals. Sorry, tough love", Mars shrugged.
"What? You can possibly be serious, Mars. All I want is for us all to live in peace, where no one needs to suffer because of the doings of others", Kals stated.
But Kals' argument wasn't enough. Soon enough Mars convinced the other rulers to attack Kals with him.
The eerie silence filled the air. No screams, no shuffling. Just silence, although hundreds of even thousands of dragons were standing in the very same battle field.
"Kals?" Mars' voice disturbed the silence. He struggled to get out of the crowds of dragons and stumbled next to the pitch-black dragon. The scarlet and red between his scales had faded.
"Kalsaim?" Jupiteria called and rushed next to Mars. The other rulers were quick to follow and they were leaning over the fallen dragon.
"Kalsaim? Come on, buddy. Get up. We know you're just playing.." Venus' claws were dug deep into the ground. His battle wounds didn't even sting anymore. "Wake up.. please"
Mars took a step back, horror spreading in his eyes. "I-I'm so sorry. I-I never meant for him to-"
"None of us did", Saturnus, the ruler of The Glass Island interrupted him. "Don't blame yourself",
But regardless of the prayers or pleads, the pitch-black dragon still lay still. The scarlet lining of his scales were almost completely faded away from his lifeless body.
"I am so sorry, Kals. I never meant to hurt you", a tear was rolling down Mars' cheek. Neptune, the ruler of the Feather island, leaned against his shoulder.
"It's not your fault", she whispeted gently.
As the sun started rising from behind the horizon and the wounded dragons started to look for places to nap, Mars and the other rulers still mourned around the fallen body of Kals.
