She sat in her quiet office, buried up in her never ending supply of work. She heard a knock on her door, she looked up from her computer screen and at the door.
"Open?" She answered. She was expecting a few people that day, but the person who entered wasn't one of them. Her fiancée opened the door with one of her hands behind her back, a smile on her face. She nervously approached her desk, clearing her throat.
"I wanted to apologise for last night, i was quite the jerk." She looked down at her with apologetic eyes. She smiled up at her, leaning against her chair.
"It's okay, and I forgive you." She saw the latter exhale a deep breath that she had been holding onto. She smiled once more, the hand behind her back shifted infront of her. In it was a bouquet of blue orchids, she let out a little gasp, not expecting such a thoughtful gesture from her.
"Aw, thank you!" She thanked, taking the flowers from her. It had a sweet aroma she loved, with its deep ocean blue petals and dazzlingly straight stems. The latter sat beside her, taking a sigh, she turned to look at her deep brown eyes, anxious tides crashed in her beautiful brown eyes.
"I was thinking we could go out for dinner, after you finish work." She breathed, looking away from her. Her cheeks turned a pretty pink as she took a few deep breathes. Fidgeting with her manicured hands, looked down at them, picking at some invisible entity clung onto them.
The latter chuckled and looked at her with apologetic eyes as she gently placed the bouquet on her desk, "Sorry, but I already have plans with someone." Yu-jin turned to her with a sorry and hurt expression on her face, "Oh, with who?"
As if planned, a tall and handsome fellow entered her office, a charming smile on his face as he turned to the two ladies. "With Sung-hoon." She answered as she looked up at him, smiling, he looked at her and smiled, before turning to her fiancée and bowing out of respect with a caring smile on his face.
"Oh, well, have fun!" She murmured, a disappointed expression on her face, standing up and leaving as quick as she came. She felt a bit bad seeing her leave, but it disappeared as she looked up at Sung-hoon, he shrugged his shoulders and offered his hand to her.
Later that day, she arrived back home. Closing the door behind her, she glanced at the couch and noticed her fiancée sitting down, as if she were waiting for someone. She turned her head to look at her as she heard the doorknob rotate and lock.
"Hey!" She greeted as she hung her coat on the tree and walked behind the couch, looking down at her with a soft smile. She noticed looming tiredness and doubt in her eyes kept on staring at them, she loved the latter's eyes. The way it seemed to sparkle in the sunlight, the way it seemed to shimmer when she saw someone she loved, how rich and lovely the colour of her eyes were.
"How was hanging out with him?" She asked, it were as if she spat it, as if it were scum. She looked away, from the corner of her eye, she could see her roll her eyes.
"It was fun." She truthfully replied, they had gone out and had ice cream before going to dinner at a fancy place and she was willing to tell her that, placing her hand bag on the couch as she sat down beside her. Looking at her with a gentle smile and warm, accepting eyes, she held onto her hand.
"Must be fun.... Cheating on me" She scoffed, swatting her hand away before walking away. She sat there in shock, trying to figure out why she'd think like that. Not to hurt her own ego, she summed it up as the latter was once again intoxicated and not thinking for herself or as stress.
"That's definitely the reason...." She whispered to herself.
