She touched her abdomen where the tattoo for remembrance of her dad was.

"Him disappointed with me?..you're the one who abused me and drugs as soon as he died you pathetic bitch!" Jade yelled at her.

"Alright ma'am calm down, you have the right to remain silent anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law" he said cuffing Jade's mom.

"No fuck that and fuck you!, you can't do this to me!, I am your mother!" Her mom said as she thrashed around as the cop struggled to cuff her.

"Ma'am stop resisting!" The cop said.

"No fuck you god damnit I am a citizen of the United States I have rights!" She screamed as she kicked the officer, he began to lose grip and that's when Jade's mom took advantage and headbutted her.

This made Jade fall to the ground in pain, her mother continued to kick her until the officer finally got a hold of her mom again.

More officers arrived on scene, and so did a paramedic and firetruck.

The firetruck was sent off as they didn't need them.

He dragged the women to the cruiser, this is where she tried to run but the cop caught her and put her in the back of the car.

"Ma'am are you okay?" The paramedics asked Jade who was still on the ground groaning in pain.

"Yea just..just give me a..a second" she said inhaling harshly.

"Ma'am she could've broken a rib or two I think we need to take you in" she said, Jade shook her head.

"No I'm okay, she just k-knocked the wind out of me..that's all" she reassured the paramedics leaning up and steadying herself.

The paramedic nodded "okay but we need you to sign a document stating you refused medical help".

She nodded, the paramedic helped her up and they walked out of the house.

"She'll be charged with drug use, how bad of a charge depends on how much is in her system and how much we find in the house, drug possession, resisting arrest, assault on an officer, battery, abuse" Jade heard the officer who arrested her mom say to another officer.

"Alright Jade if you could just sign right here, here, and here" another paramedic asked her, she nodded signing the papers.

A sheriff walked up to Jade and watched as the paramedics began to get back in their truck.

"Your not gonna go get checked?" He asked, she shook her head.

"Alrighty then, do you want to press charges against your mom?" He asked.

"If it gets her a better chance of staying the hell away from me then yes" Jade said nodding.

The sheriff nodded taking her statement and pictures of her injuries.

"So here's the process, we're gonna have to have someone come in and search your home and do an investigation, would you like to grab anything out of there and do you have someone else to stay with?" He asked, she nodded waving for Jake and Johnnie to drive closer.

Jake nodded and drove up to her house.

"I know it's a lot to ask but are you guys okay if I stay in your apartment for a while so they can get this stuff handled? It'll only be for... How long will it be?" She asked.

"It depends but here's my number so I can let you know" he said Jade nodded she looked back at Jake and Johnnie and they nodded.

She thanked them, she went inside and grabbed whatever she could think was important, and a picture frame off the fridge, it was the last picture she had of her dad.
