Déjà-vu

A few weeks have passed since that day. They've been practically attached at the hip ever since, their bonds growing stronger every day.

And neither of them complains about it.

Although Hongjoong has never really felt lonely, he enjoys the company of his new friends, and the assholes who harass him have calmed down a bit since he's almost constantly surrounded by the 3 taller men.

And maybe, just maybe, they're scared of Yunho.

San and Hongjoong often go shopping together; it's their Wednesday tradition.

Seonghwa thinks that these two were made to meet each other and be friends with their cat-like personalities.

San is a typical black cat, aloof and discreet but ultimately very clingy... and Hongjoong is always looking for closeness but hates being touched. Sometimes it's as if he's ready to hiss at them.

The two can spend hours trying on dresses and skirts, cat-walking (approximately) like models in the highest possible heels, and sometimes Seonghwa and Yunho join in to add a little more chaos.

Hongjoong even managed to convince Seonghwa to try on skirts, and the elder enjoyed it more than he'd like to admit. Well, it's not hard to guess given how he spent 10 minutes admiring himself from every angle.

Still, he didn't dare buy it. Instead, he found a black corset embroidered with a golden carp pattern that cinched his already slim waist to the point of almost making Hongjoong drool.

He already found the older attractive, but now it's a whole new level.

Even some of the teachers complimented Seonghwa for daring to wear more extravagant clothes, boosting the boy's confidence. (He also received many disapproving glances from his mother, which he forced himself to ignore).

That same day, Hongjoong bought black heels with gold butterflies, and Yunho spent the next week teasing Seonghwa about them, saying that they already have couple items, and that leaved the older a blushing mess.

But he still refuses to admit that he has a thing for Hongjoong... even though he ticks all the boxes of his ideal type,.. and added a few more criteria after meeting the younger.

Hongjoong has a feeling of déjà-vu when these three stupid brutes snatch his bag and throw it into a puddle of dirty water, then try to catch him just because they think it's funny to show off their strength like that.

Hongjoong holds back tears as he feels his chin screech the ground, and he's willing to bet he's scratched himself against the rough asphalte.

As he struggles to get up, his omnipod snaps off and he wants to scream at the whole world to leave him alone.

Some days are definitly worst than others.

He finally retrieves his soaked and muddy bag with an urge to send it waltzing into the faces of those stupid assholes, but he holds back and runs to the infirmary, cursing everything that comes into his head and holding back his tears as best he can.

To his surprise, it's Seonghwa who greets him instead of the nurse, and he can't help thinking of the first time he met Seonghwa here, and how exhausted he looked.

Today he has the same deep dark circles under his eyes, but he still smiles, despite it looking more like a grimace than his bright, sincere usual smiles.

"Hyung? Why are you here, are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I come here every Tuesday morning, I don't go to gym class. And you, you okay Joong?"
