Poverty

     Hi I'm Thomas Phiri and I live in Africa with my two parents and my little sister Angela. We live in poverty and my parents barely make a living to pay for my school, my sister doesn't even go to school and she's 8. Regardless of my families struggles I try my best to perform well at my school work.
     After I wrote my final high school exams, I was waiting for my exam results for about a month until they finally arrived. I checked with my family and we found out that I got 7 points which was amazing I was so happy, but reality hit me that I could only get into University if I get a scholarship. My mom tried to console me by telling me"don't worry" but I knew we couldn't afford it.
       A couple days later I was doing my yard work as usual till the mail man came with some mail for the day I got the mail and I began to look through them and I saw one that's for me. I was really curious what was on it so I opened the letter and found that it was a letter from Havard University saying the wanted to sponsor me.
      I tell everybody about the news and everyone jumped in excitement my Dad came up to me "son were so proud of you." That warmed my heart, I later read through it again and saw that I had to leave in three days, and that they will pay for transport
        Three days later I I'm by the airport saying bye to my family and I'm in tears because I don't know when I'll see them again but I was excited about America too. After saying our goodbyes go proceed to go on the plane, I hear Angela shout"safe travels!" And that's how I was off to America.

I know probably my punctuation is bad but I'm a young writer and I could improve just wait and push past the bad punctuation. As we watch Thomas story unfold. If you could make a cover for this it could be highly appreciated. Just hit me up on my socials.
