Chapter One - Darren

I rest my head on my hand as I stare at the love of life; Darren. I think about us being together as my heart jumps with anxiety. I really like him but for some reason I'm really afraid of being in a relationship. Just thinking about makes me want to throw up. My feelings contradict each other too much. I don't know what I want. I feel a slap on my back and turn around. It was my friend, Brian balancing his tray in his hand and holding a soda in the other.

"Scoot over, before I drop everything." he said, trying to slide his butt onto the chair. I scoot over and bump into someone next to me.

"Sorry." I said pulling my gaze away from Darren. I look at the person next to me and it was another one my friends, Sadie.

"Ah! When did you get here?" I said turning back to Darren.

"Geez, Tara! Are you really that engrossed in him that you don't even notice me sit down?" she asked in disbelief. I sensed a small piece of sadness in her question, like Darren is more important than my true friends.

"I even said 'hi' when I sat down." she said shaking her head. I looked down at my tray, not having much appetite to eat. I turned back to Darren and saw him looking my way, smiling. I quickly switched my head back down to my tray.

"I heard rumors that he likes you." Brian whispered in my ear. My stomach dropped in fear but my heart jumped up from glee. Then something in the back of my mind said a small 'no'.

"Really?" I asked thinking about his history of lying. I pause and glare at him. "If you're lying, I'm gonna kill you."

He shrugs, smirking.

"What makes you think that?" he asked, that stupid smirk of his getting wider by the second. I just blankly stare at him.

"And I'm going to ignore you." I say, punching him in the arm. The bell rings for the next class so I stand up and throw my untouched food in the trash before catching a glimpse of Darren. I blushed as I saw from the corner of my eye, that he was looking back; smiling. Today is going to be a long day...

Aye! This is our first joint story on this amazing account, and like our profile said in we all do some type of horror. This book will also have graphic smut and gore. To us, gore is life. But that's us because we're weird. Well anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this book!
