-Welcome to the Bang residence! Chan opened the front door and let Jisung get in first.
The younger looked around astonished. The house itself was pretty big and luxurious.
The simplicity of the architecture was part of its charm, but the surprising part was the cozy warm design inside that made you think you entered through a wormhole into a totally different house.
The orange couch was the center piece of the room, catching everyone's eyes. There were lamps on the wall and bookshelves and a big screen TV with an old DVD player underneath.
Jisung traced with his fingertips the couch and made his way to the books. He believed you could know a person best by the books they read.
-Percy Jackson? Oh my God! I love this series! I can't believe you have all the volumes. I had to thrift shop for books to find The Lightning Thief at half of price. Totally worth it tho.
-Yeah, I was pretty obsessed with it, Chan chuckled at the sight of a happy and over the moon Jisung. Such a rare view.
-No way! The Cambridge Dictionary to Greek Mythology? How did you get your hands on it? I've written to Santa 4 years in a row that I wanted it. I couldn't find it anywhere.
-Okay, I was a bit of a nerd, Chan rubbed his nape.
-A bit?
-But my siblings are no better. Check this out, Chan handed Jisung the books from the upper shelves which Jisung couldn't reach properly.
-8 sips of Wine? he raised his brow. -My sister likes drama. But... I can't blame her with this one. I actually enjoyed it very much.
-Kingdom of Roses? Crossed Hearts? Haunted Fountain? That's a lot of fantasy, Jisung looked through the pages briefly.
-Yep. She is into magic and stuff.
-Suicide academy? Jisung spotted a beautiful silver painted book.
-That's mine. It's pretty good. You should read it. You remind me of a character in here. But you don't play violin.
-You don't know what I can do or I can't, Jisung felt offended.
-Can you? Chan mocked him.
-No... But I played piano for like 3 months.
-Nah... You're not Amedeo Coldrick material, Chan took the book from Jisung's hands. You're not that cunning and charming.
-I am very charming, Jisung protested.
-Not like him.
-We'll see about it, Jisung snatched the book. I'll read it and tell you what I think about your little book. Now... How do we turn this place into a fancy pirate themed slumber party? he changed the subject quickly.
-Easy, Chan approached the stairs and yelled at his sister. Hannah! Can I borrow your Ateez merch for tonight?
-Why? a girl's voice shouted from upstairs.
-Just for a quick party. I promise I won't damage anything.
-You better not!
-Done, Chan smiled proudly at Jisung.
-Ateez?
-She listens to kpop a lot.
-I bet your parents buy her every album.
-They used to... Chan's smile dropped instantly.
-Used to? What happened?
-They died, Chan forced a weak smile. Car accident.
