after waiting for what felt like forever, the house was beginning to flood.

i stood silently with my vodka and coke on the balcony, listening to 'i don't wanna live forever' by Zayn and Taylor Swift, the song that's the only reason i like taylor.

"you okay?" Alex looked at me as he stood next to me, shocking me.

"yeah" i smiled, taking a gulp from my drink.

"you want to be careful with that" he mumbled as he looked at my cup and i just nodded.

"the house is full" he mumbled, making the conversation so awkward.

i can't deal like this, being silent and boring, it's a party for a reason.

"come" i mumbled as i dragged him by his wrist back into the door.

Lee, Emily, Nathan and Skylar on the sofa with Isaac, two girls from school who i didn't know, and cole.

"heyy" i grumbled as they all looked at me as Alex sat next to them.

they all said their hi back as i drank the rest of my drink, before heading to my kitchen.

boys from the team in school where all crowded around in their jackets, some cheerleaders clung to their side as skylar came behind me.

"you good" he mumbled as i nodded, smiling at him for reassurance.

"wanna take some shots" i smirked as he smiled back at me.

"is that even a question?" he laughed, grabbing around 10 shot glasses, he poured two with rum, two with a random flavour of sours, two with jägerbombs two with tequila and two with a random mixer, organising it so we would try them both at the same time then eventually get to the end.

"i say we race" i smirked as he nodded.

"ill count yous down" Jackie smiled unannounced as we nodded at her, i moved my head down nipping the first with my two fingers getting ready to have them as quick as possible.

"GO" she screamed as two chearleaders and the dude that cole's mates with who 'took his number'

i necked the first two and felt the burning in my throat realising it was rum, ew.

i felt sick.

i kept going, this was a competition.

i finished first, slamming the last shot cup on the counter putting both my hands up as everyone screamed and i smiled, giving Skylar a hug.

"might aswell of won the mma's, you can have the rest, the jaggerbomb has made me feel so sick" he smirked and winked, before walking away.

"come on girl" one of the cheerleaders smiled as jackie watched me.

"you want one?" i asked as she looked confused, everyone was chanting her on and i felt so bad, the sours, tequila and the mixer was left, i felt like everyone including myself was forcing her to do this as she picked up the mixer, smart move.

everyone cheered as i smirked at her and she chuckled as i shot back the two, pulling a face from the burning sensation from my throat.

"you want to go outside?" i asked as she nodded.

"too noisy in here" i shouted over the music, N dubs,ouch, blasting through the speakers before i grabbed a bottle of cherry sours from the counter top, walking with jackie through the crowds.

we went back through the living-room, Erin following us out as she looked over to Cole, half his tongue down a random girls neck as i just looked over giving her a reassuring smile, i hadn't talked to Erin much, her and Jackie weren't the closest i heard around the house, but i want to be friends with Jackie and make her comfortable here in a house full of people she hardly knew, and Erin needed company as i looked around Isaac too was kissing a girl, her on his lap as he had his hands in his hair, i looked away as we walked out the room.
