"And now, now that the performance is over, here are the 8 Coordinators entering the second round! Here they are! These lucky 8!" Marian announced. She gestured to the giant plasma screen, which revealed the 8 faces of the very Coordinators moving on:
1. Carl
2. Zoey
3. Dawn
4. Necro
5. Wendy
6. Ash
7. William
8. Jessilina
"Oh wow! Necro, we both made it!" Dawn squealed with delight.
"We sure did, Dawn." Necro chuckled as she looked at the TV.
"Awesome!" Ash commented.
"Pika Pika!" Pikachu agreed.
"Ai!" Aipom shrieked with happiness.
"Nothing like getting past the first step." Brock chuckle.
Dawn sighed with relief.
"Congrats to the three of you all." Zoey complimented.
"Thanks, Zoey! You just made it all easy for Me,
I guess that's why you already have a ribbon!" Dawn explained making Zoey smirk.
"Well I wouldn't know about that." Zoey snorted.
then a short while later it showed who were to battle against who in the first round.
"Now ladies and gentlemen. Here are the battle rounds on the plasma screen!" Marian announced. On the board, the eight cards shuffled to its random places. Once the shuffling was done, the cards were revealed.
"Let's let the cards shuffle for a moment... And here they all are!" Marian called.
1. Ash VS Necro
2. Carl VS Dawn
3. Zoey VS Wendy
4. William VS Jessilina
"Well, what do you know! It's Me against you, Necro! Right off the bat!" Ash exclaimed
Necro grew stunned as well as scared what if the same thing happens that happened when Scout was teaching her how to even battle.
What if she does something worng or if the crowd laughs at her?
"What... It's Me against Ash? Huh..." Necro gasped.
"I'm sure the two of you will be great at the same time in the battle!" Dawn giggled.
"That's true it doesn't matter witch of you move on just as long as you both have fun during the battle," Brock said.
"Yea your right Brock, and thanks I needed that," Necro said.
"Thanks, Dawn! First, we get the Jublife Ribbon, then we go get to the Oreburgh Badge!" Ash exclaimed.
Necro noticed that Zoey glaring at Ash. "What's Zoey looking at? Did Me or Ash do something wrong?" She thought as she narrowed her eyes.
"Hey, Necro? Let's both just do our best!" Ash exclaimed.
"Hold on, Ash. A Contest Battle is way different than the things you do in normal battles!" Dawn tried to persuade. But, Ash shrugged it off.
"Nah. I'm sure that we can handle any battles that they will throw at us!" Ash chuckled.
Zoey walked over, irritated with something about Ash. "Hold it right there! Are you entering the Sinnoh League?" Zoey asked.
"Yeah! That what I came to Sinnoh for in the first place?" Ash explained.
"That goes for Me as well? But do you have a problem with that?" Necro asked witch shoked Ash, Brock and Dawn.
