I can see the way she is so shocked after knowing that I am the prince of the palace. I smirked at her reaction and went to her and held my hand in front of me to shake her hand "Hello Esmeray Rozell. I am Aster Rayburn. The prince of this palace."
I was waiting for her to accept my handshake until she turned her back towards me and went to Del.
"What's your name?" She asked Del.
He looked at her confused then looked at me, I nodded my head and he looked at her and said "It's Delbert Relish" he told her and she smiled at him.
"To be honest I know you are a little better than that arrogant male there, so how about you show me my room?" She asked, raising her eyebrow at him.
All of us looked at her with shock. This is the first time someone has called me like that. Before I could say something I heard a loud laugh and that was none other than my sister.
"Bro, we are gonna be best friends and that's for sure." She said while still laughing. "Oh my God! You have got guts." She was still laughing and seeing her Del also started laughing and I narrowed my eyes at them, I heard a little chuckle from my mom and saw father fighting a smile. What the actual fuck! My father is smiling!
Who the hell does she think she is to make my whole family laugh at me!
"ENOUGH!" I shouted and all of them stopped and looked at me but that girl again started laughing after seeing me. I got angry and went to her. "Don't you understand the meaning of enough?" I asked, holding her arm in a tight grip.
She looked at me and then at my hand, she smiled at me, removed my hand and rotated it at my back and put her heel on my shoe.
A scream was going to leave my mouth but I covered it not liking the idea of being weak in front of her.
"Next time touch me without my consent and I will tell you who Esmeray Rozell is. Don't test my patience, I don't know if you know me or not, but for me you all are nothing but suspects and I. Can. Kill. My. Suspects." She grinned her teeths at me and left my hand.
Father who was quite from a long time spoke up "Esmeray, I apologise for my son behaviour but as I said he will show you your room so that he can be assured of your security" he then looked at me "I know you don't trust anyone of us but believe me we are your family only." He used such a sweet tone with her which he had never used with us.
Esmeray then looked at me and then at father and nodded her head. I mumbled a 'follow me' and took her to the wing where my and Nyx room is. I went to the room which is next to me and opened it for her.
"This is your room. My room is just next to yours, if you need anything you can ask me I will help you, if not me, Nyx room is across mine so you can ask her." I told her everything and she nodded. "Tomorrow I will ask Nyx to show you around the palace. When dinner is served someone will call you." After saying that I went to my room and closed the door.
I went inside my room and lay on the bed. I closed my eyes and all I saw were her eyes. Amber eyes with a shine which used to be present but now it's not there any more. I saw My Shine My Ray after nineteen freaking years.
She has changed so much, her voice, fuck it still give me goosebumps, her voice is the sweetest thing I have ever heard in this world. Her face has become so sharp and pointed that if one glare could kill, she would have killed a person with her glare only.
Her long lashes, eyes that would kill anyone, her pointed nose, and that plumpy lips. The way every curve of her body fits her like she did an amazing time in making herself whatever she is today.
I am thinking what would be the reaction of everyone after seeing her after a long time. Mom would be so happy seeing her. She always had a soft spot for her but not more than father because she was the reason my father used to smile. She was the reason my father wanted a daughter but after that incident he became such a cold person and a strict father both for me and Nyx.
Flashback
I was sleeping when I found something ticklish on my nose. I furrowed my eyebrows in half sleep and rubbed my nose and again went to sleep.
After a few seconds I again felt the same thing, I rubbed it again, this happened three times until I opened my eyes and saw Ray having a feather in her hand with a biggest smile on her face that her dimples were visible.
I smiled at her and pulled her towards me and she laid beside me. I wrapped my hands around her waist and again closed my eyes inhaling her scent.
She poked her finger on my cheek and said "Wakey Wakey Trey. You need to get up, today you have to teach me horse riding, I am so excited." She exclaimed while clapping her hands together once.
I looked at her and put my head on my palm which was supported by my elbow. "My Ray is excited?" I asked and she nodded her head "Then we should make her more excited." The smile she gave me was worth millions.
"Really? How?" She asked with a shine in her Amber eyes.
"Like This" I said and started tickling her on her stomach and she started giggling and saying no in between of her laugh. Her laugh echoed in the palace.
Flashback End
I got out of our moment when I heard a knock on my door. I rubbed my face with my hands and sighed loudly.
I opened the door to see Del standing there with a boring look "Dinner is ready." He just said that and went in front to knock on Ray's door. He said the same thing to her and all three of us went towards the dining room.
I greeted our parents and sat on my seat. Esmeray sat next to Nyx and looked here and there. I am sure she was feeling out of place. But My Ray, how to tell you this is your place only. Your home.
"So Esmeray I heard mom telling me that you suggested my name to mom when I was going to take birth." Nyx asked her and Ray started looking here and there.
"I really don't remember. I am sorry." She said and Nyx shook her head.
"It's ok. I understand." Ray nodded.
I saw the dishes and saw that Ray can eat them all so I started eating my dinner.
"Aster you have a meeting tomorrow with the minister, don't forget." Father said and I nodded my head.
"Sam how much time I have to tell you that you don't speak about your work and meetings on the dining table." Mom scolded father.
"Sorry love." He said with a smile.
Doesn't matter how much of a good or bad father he is for us but his love for mom never changed and I know it never will.
Then the dinner passed with everyone talking with each other. Esmeray was talking and smiling a little bit with everyone. I smiled seeing her.
Be at peace the walls of Therondia. Your Queen and My Ray have returned and this time for forever....
