I woke up to the aggressive shaking again, It was 8 o'clock, after some investigating I found out the beds shake for new recruits until they wake up, this stops after the recruits gets used to waking up on time everyday, such a cool yet annoying feature, well I better get used to it as soon as possible.
I was getting ready and taking my time, my phone rang all of a sudden, 'Skye?..'
I picked up the call and greeted Skye, "hey girlie, we all left already so you can come with Iso since he woke up late too, see ya mate" , she hung up.. late?! I woke up on time!
I checked the time, [9:45], ohhh shit. I took my bags and left the room, I was about to go to Iso's room to ask him when to leave, but to my luck he was just leaving his room too, wearing a black zip up jacket with black cargos and some boots.
- "what time sh-"
- "Right now, let's go, we're already late enough."
I followed him and we got to the garage, it was massive, the headlights of a black McLaren 720s lit up, I couldn't believe my eyes. "That's your car?!" I exclaimed, He didn't reply. Beside the McLaren was a Rolls Royce Wraith too, I assumed it was Chamber's cars since he was the richest among all. Iso motioned for me to wait as he set his belongings beside me and got into the car, he took the car out of the parking and got out.
He opened the passenger seat door for me and gestured for me to hand him my bags, he put the bags in the front trunk, got in the car and asked me to put my seatbelt on. "What's with the gentleman behavior all of a sudden?" He, like always, didn't reply. As soon as my seatbelt clicked, I flew back in my seat due to the sudden acceleration, the revving of the car engine filled my ears.
Iso handed me his iconic earbuds and told me to put them on and play music, it was still connected to his phone, let me atleast choose the music jeez. He left his phone open on Spotify in case I wanted to change the song, I was scrolling through the playlist he was playing until I got to the very top of the page and read the playlist name, "For Stella." am I seeing this right?! this is the first time he does something this cute.
The car started accelerating a lot more, I guess that's why he asked me to put the earbuds on, the car was loud.
We arrived and the time read [10:20], "Just on time." said Iso. We had to walk to the camping spot, it was a long hike, cold and tiring. By the time we got there I was visibly tired, I set my things aside as I greeted everyone and took a seat to rest. The place was unreal, there were approximately 13 tents, I assumed every two agents will have to share a tent, beside the camping area was a river, I couldn't wait to sit by it and look at the beautiful landscape.
Killjoy informed me that the agents were distributed among the tents based off their VP numbers, besides a few exceptions.
- "Who's VP-24?" I asked, I was the newest agent and my number's 25, therefore i'll most probably be put with the 24th agent.
- "VP-24.. Iso." Iso?! that means he hasn't been in the V Protocol for a long time, what was his excuse to be such a jerk?! that doesn't matter now, he's changed, towards me at least.
I can't lie I was happy I was paired up with Iso, he's the only agent i'm most comfortable around, I've seen him at his worst and hopefully i'll get to see him at his best in the future, hopefully.
