Confusion. That was all you felt in your body as you stared at the woman before you. She only smiled sweetly at you; hand outstretched in hopes you would take it. You did after a moment, shaking her hand and offering a little bow of your head.
"Hello." You said quickly. "I'm sorry. Do I know you?"
"No." Mina smiled. She fixed her pocketbook. "At least, not yet."
"Uh." You looked over your shoulder at Minnie, who was standing behind you. She seemed just as confused as you did. Turning back to Mina, you saw her outstretch a small card to you. Taking it into your hands, you admired the professional nature of the card. Myoui Business Co. was written at the top, followed by the list of places where their business practices were used, such as Korea, the United States, and Japan. You looked up at her again.
"I'm sorry to drop by unannounced." She said. "Like I said, I've heard a bit about you. I wanted to come and meet you in person."
"Who told you about me?" you asked.
Without missing a beat, she said: "Kim Mingyu." It took every fiber in your being to hold your face in a composed manner. Your fingers curled tightly around the card, bending the sides. The paper is pressed into your fingers. Questions rattled your brain as you watched her smile still stay sitting on her face. "You do know him, right? This is the right apartment?"
"Yes? How do you-?" Before any more questions could slip past your lips, you heard footsteps coming down the hall. Looking over, you saw Mingyu, and your breath caught in your throat. You didn't even have enough time to take in how handsome he looked, his hair styled nicely and his suit freshly pressed.
"Mingyu!" Mina smiled, clapping her hands together in glee. "What brings you here? Did you hear me talking about you?"
"Mina." He hissed. "What are you doing here?!"
"What do you mean?" Mina blinked, her smile finally dropping just a bit. "I came to see you."
"Why? I thought-."
"Can't friends just drop by and give surprise visits?" she asked. "I did that just now myself." She turned to you and offered yet another smile. You looked over at Mingyu.
"Mingyu. Who is this?" you asked. Mingyu finally turned to look at you. For a second, you saw his lip get chewed in between his teeth as he tried to think of what to say. When you saw his eyes dip down your figure, your breath caught in your throat. Was he...checking you out?
Mina seemed to notice to, stepping a bit closer into the trio. "Our fathers do business together." Mingyu said. "She's a friend."
"All you've told me about her, and you've told her nothing about me?" Mina's smile grew playful, but it only made you feel sick. You stepped back into your apartment a bit. A hand was on your back, and you turned to see Minnie, a silent observer as she made sure to keep you steady.
Mina seemed to notice the annoyance on Mingyu's face. "What's wrong? I just wanted to meet the girl you told me about." She said. "She seems lovely. Beautiful, too." She looked at you. "I love that color on you~."
"Thanks..." you said, slightly flattered by the statement. Is someone as beautiful as her saying that? I can't help but be flattered.
Sharp eyes turned back to a flustered Mingyu, who was scratching as the nape of his neck. "Am I interrupting something?"
"Yes," Mingyu said. "If you wanted to come to Korea, you should have told me."
"I told your father." She said simply. Mingyu clicked his tongue, mentally cursing out his old man.
