"Why are they red?"

"Joshua..." you muttered, eyes darting right.

"I don't know!"

Your eyes darted left. "Jeonghan..."

"What does this mean?!" Joshua asked.

"I don't know!"

"GUYS!" The room went quiet, Joshua and Jeonghan looking over at you. "...My hands." When they looked down, they saw how tightly they were holding your hands, practically yanking you forward over the couch. The little markers above your hands continued flashing red until you pulled your hands back. "What does it mean if they're red?"

"It means we failed," Jeonghan said simply. You frowned.

"What? But that's not possible." You said. "Mingyu and I just-."

"Now you see why we're confused, I'm sure," Jeonghan said. He ran a hand through his hair. "Uhm. Well..."

You saw the panic in the duo's faces as they both started muttering to themselves about what they should do. "Don't worry." You said softly, and they finally looked back at you. "I think you guys need to calm down."

"...What?" they gasped.

"Mingyu and I just started this relationship." You said. "And we've agreed to take it a bit slow. Maybe it needs some time to reset. Or maybe it's because we haven't officially stated we're boyfriend and girlfriend yet. Maybe the red means 'stop', or something. Not that you failed." Neither of them looked convinced. "I'm just trying to help."

Joshua, aware that you were just as lost as them, let out a deep sigh. There was no use in also making you panic. He looked over at Jeonghan. "Maybe. Let's give it a day or two, and check again."

"And what if it doesn't work?" Jeonghan asked. "Should we call Seungcheol again?"

"And tell him what? He'll kill us!"

Jeonghan pursed his lips. "He'll kill you." He pointed out. Joshua plopped down on the couch again, clicking his tongue. You watched Jeonghan sit beside him, both of them quiet. You headed back to the suitcases, dragging them to your room.

"Don't worry. Mingyu and I are just fine. It's all going to work out." You said, before disappearing behind your bedroom door. As the door closed behind you, you fumbled for your phone in your back pocket, pressing it to your ears as it began to ring. Pick up, Mingyu. You thought to yourself. The phone rang and rang, that sound drilling into your head until you finally pulled it back from your ear.

No answer.

Mingyu felt his phone vibrate in his back pocket and went to answer almost immediately. However, his father stopped him. "Hand me the phone." He said. When Mingyu didn't listen, his father motioned to the side of the room. Like a ghost out of the shadows, Mr. Park, one of his assistants, popped up behind Mingyu, taking the phone out of his hands.

"Hey!" Mingyu glared at his father. The phone was set on the table, and Mingyu could see the photo of you flashing on the screen as it continued to vibrate. Mingyu felt his finger twitch with the desire to reach for it anyway, but he felt someone take it. He looked over and saw Mina's hand gently on top of his. She looked over.

"Let it ring." She said gently. Mingyu looked at the phone as your photo flashed away, his phone going dark as the call was ignored.

"Now." His father leaned back in his seat. "We have a lot of preparation for the wedding if we want to have it soon, right Mr. Myoui?"
