Professer McGonagall said it so bluntly that the students didn't register what she had said but soon it dawned on all the students.

Roxanne had slapped her hand onto her mouth. Many others did the same thing. Torkers? How was it possible? Torkers were supposed to be in hiding, too scared to come out and show themselves after what happened after Harry had killed Voldemort.

After Voldemort died, many of the Death Eaters were caught. (Death Eaters were Voldemort supporters.) But some of them went into hiding. At night they would light Torches, and go door to door, trying to recruit people to join the Dark side.

If the people inside refused, the Torkers were gone before the people could say no. They had never done anything more drastic than that. Never had they landed someone in St. Mungos for Magical Maladies and Injuries.

"But Frank please,"
"I can't tell you"
Roxanne was in the office behind the green houses on the Hogwarts lawn talking to Frank Jr. Longbottom. (Frank Jr. was Professer Longbottoms son.) Frank was 17 and was on his last year of Hogwarts and was training to be the assistant to Hagrid on the Hogwarts ground. Frank was in Hufflepuff House.

"Frank, please just tell me." Roxanne was trying to get Frank to tell her what was going on with the Torkers.
"Roxanne," He sighed looking at her. "I'd tell you if I could, but I can't. You know I can't"
"Frank, if you don't tell me, I'll never talk to you again." She said, in a sort of growl.
"Oh, now I'm scared." He said mockingly. Roxanne glared at him. His smile faltered. Then it hardened again.
"Roxanne, don't push me. You know that I can't tell you anything. Now stop nagging me!"
Roxanne didn't push him.

Roxanne lay on her bed in her dormitory looking up at her canopy ceiling. Torkers. Wow. Torkers were the thing that kids told at Halloween parties.

Like, ha-ha the Torkers are going to get you if you refuse to join. Will you join the dark side? It was right about then that the kid telling the story would jump up and scream. That's it. Nothing real. Roxanne rolled over onto her side and looked over at the girl's bed that was next to hers.

The girl was Daphne. Roxanne's heart skipped a beat. Daphne was in her house? Her dormitory?
Roxanne rolled onto the side facing away from Daphne. Somehow she thought that this year was going to be more action packed then she thought it would be.
