Luz's first love (Luz x reader)

The beginning (pt1)

(Luz POV)

It was my first day of school. I woke up from my alarm, it was playing the azura theme song. I turned it off and went back to sleep. I was awoken by my mom

"MIJA! GET UP OR YOU'LL BE LATE FOR SCHOOL." my mom, Camila, said angrily

I tiredly got up and dressed. I put on a purple and white shirt, Jean shorts, leggings, and white shoes. I grabbed my phone and bag, putting my phone in my bag. I walked out into the hallway.

I looked at a photo of me, my mama, and my papa. I teared up a bit

"I miss you papa. You are in a better place now." I gave the photo a kiss before going to the kitchen

"I'm ready for the first day mama." I told her

"Okay let us get you going mija." she told me

"Yeah...let's go." I said with a sad tone in my voice

"What's wrong mija" my mother asked

"It's just...it's fine, I'm just thinking about dad." I said, not wanting my mom to know that the real reason was because I was getting bullied

She walked over to me and hugged me

"Don't worry mija, I miss him too. But now he isn't hurting anymore" she told me, trying to be reassuring

We got into the car and started driving to my school. I looked out the window, seeing the trees and grass, watching the morning sunset. I knew that I was gonna get called "luzer" or "Luz screws"

"You are gonna make so many new friends, ones that aren't imaginary" mom was telling me

"Okay mama" I responded

Me and mom arrived at school. I got out of the car

"Bye mama, I love you" I tell my mom

"I love you too mija, have a nice day" my mom said before driving away

I walked into the front office, there was a lady reading a book

"Reason for being here." she asked, not looking up from the book

"I need my schedule." I responded

"Name." she asked

"Luz Noceda."

"Oh...it's you." she said with attitude, looking up at me

"What do you mean." I asked

She handed me my schedule "oh you know everyone had heard about you making a violent scene in the Romeo and Juliet tryouts, your weird 'baby griffin' thing, and you scaring the whole entire cheerleading team."

As I walked away she said "good luck Luz Noceda, you're gonna need it."

I didn't like her too much, she was a kinda b**ch to anyone who was weird or unpopular, me mostly since I was both weird and unpopular.

I walked through the halls to get to my new locker that's number was on my schedule. People were staring at me but then I saw the popular kids who bullied me. One of them, a girl with blonde hair with a pink stripe in the middle, walked over to me. I never knew her name, neither did I ever want to know.

"Look who it is. It's Luz screws." she said, taunting me. I expected this so I wasn't too shocked. I walked away, ignoring her and the others.

"HEY! Don't ignore me luzer." she told me. She then proceeded to throw trash at me "nevermind, you are not worth the energy."

She walked away with her friends, they all laughed as they walked away. I try not to let my intrusive thoughts go through.

I walked to class, it was history. I sat down at my seat as the teacher spoke.

"Alright class, since it's the first day we're gonna go around a say our names and what we did over break" the teacher said.

I hated when teachers did this, it always was embarrassing for me. No kid wanted to hear about me. I started hearing my name getting called and realized I was zoning out and that it was my turn. I stood up.

"Hola everyone, my name is Luz Noceda, and I read during my break." I putted on a fake smile

"Oh what did you read that weird a** witch book" one of the boys said. I sat down in embarrassment when my phone began to ring. My ringtone was the good witch Azura theme song and I quickly turned it off. Everybody began laughing and I felt more embarrassed. But I kid near the front of the class stood up and looked at everyone with an annoyed expression.

"Why y'all laughing? The f*** is funny about someone liking something? You don't see me bothering Roxanne for liking to dress like she sell her body at the corner of the street." The kid said, the class was silent. I was amazed by someone standing up for me but I knew that they would get bullied too due to my bad luck. And just as I expected, the class started laughing, but not at me, at Roxanne. Kids continued introducing themselves.

Thought second period and third, I couldn't stop think about them. Why did they stand up for me? I don't even know their name and they stood up for me. Lunch rolled around and I sat alone, I saw that the kid was looking for a seat. They decided to next at my table.

"Hi my name is Y/N, you must be Luz" they said, enthusiastically

"Yeah, I am" I responded "why did you stand up for me"

"Because I don't understand why they would bully you" Y/N told me "and because I like the good witch azura"

"You do?" I ask, a sparkle in my eyes

"Yeah, I have since I was a little kid"

"I have too, can't believe I found someone who also enjoys the good witch azura" I said enthusiastically with a smile, a real one

We talked about the adventures of Azura before the bell rang. We went our separate ways. I couldn't stop thinking about them. My first friend

I went home and mama was washing dishes.

"How was school mija" mama had asked

"It was good mama, I made a friend"

"Oh, and are they here now" she asked, thinking it was a imaginary friend

"No they are real" I told her

"Wait, you have a real friend" she said, turning to me

"Yeah mama"

"I'm proud of you mija"

"Thanks mama, I'm gonna go to my room"

"Alright"

I went to my room, still thinking about them. This is gonna be a good friendship...and maybe something more.
