𝔻riving back to KQ was like driving towards the edge of a cliff. Despite his whining, Wooyoung really had enjoyed his time here. Technically, he was still being allowed to continue his courses online, though the fact he would be doing so whilst monitored and imprisoned within the walls of Black Fèng's headquarters wasn't exactly going to be an encouraging and conducive environment.
"We're here," San said, and Wooyoung opened his eyes.
He hadn't been sleeping, but he might as well rest his eyes now when he'd probably feel on high alert for the foreseeable future. San had parked in the bay adjacent to the main buildings and Wooyoung gazed up at the modern complexes. He sighed and went to open the door, but San locked him in.
Wooyoung eyed the other. "Do you expect me to call the office staff over here to organise the transfers?"
It was San's turn to sigh, because he was so very burdened apparently, and he propped both hands on the wheel. "We need to discuss something first."
"And what's that Sannie?"
A muscle feathered in San's jaw.
Oh no was Wooyoung's possibly sardonic attitude annoying San?
"How today is going to play out."
Wooyoung's gaze narrowed. "Are you fucking serious?"
San ignored him. "We will go into the student registry, you will show your ID and tell the staff member that due to your current personal circumstances, you will need to transfer to online studies. Nothing more. At most, that should take ten minutes. Following the transfer, we will go to your dorm and take what you need. Then we will stop by Boba Bear and you will say you need to quit for the same reason. If we happen to meet anyone along the way, you will say you're in a rush due to something concerning your father's estate. That includes Giselle, Yunho, Seonghwa and Hongjoong, Wooyoung."
"Can we go now?" Wooyoung determinedly leeched onto his irritation rather than cry again like he had yesterday once he'd gotten back to his prison bedroom and slammed the door shut. Every time San spoke like this, the reminder that he wasn't his slightly weird but doting friend was like another kick to the gut.
"I'm serious, Wooyoung."
"Fine, whatever. I get it, If I try anything you'll hog-tie me and toss me in the boot. Can we go now?" Wooyoung didn't wait for an answer and went for the door again, and this time San had unlocked it.
All but storming away in full view of the public, Wooyoung crossed the pavement and lane that separated them from KQ, San looking casual and effortless as he fell into step beside him. It was a disposition he'd worn so many times around Wooyoung who was now wondering if it had always looked slightly hollow but he was only seeing it now. Or, was he actually annoyed or worried that Wooyoung was going to try something?
What would San actually to do, in public, if Wooyoung did try anything?
He wouldn't really tie him up...or do anything to hurt him, right?
Wooyoung pushed those thoughts away as he entered student services located in a smaller building beside the main tower. Several classes were in session and so they hadn't run into many other students — not that San was really a student — and the ones they had Wooyoung didn't know. Out of habit, he pat his back pocket to check for his phone, before remembering that San had it. He must have had it off or on silent, because surely, one of his friends would've texted or called him. Even Seonghwa might've checked up on him to ask what had happened with the alarm system.
