For my pookies who waited 5 parts and idk how many months, this one's for you.

Narrator's pov.
After the incident, Bonnie was all business.

There was a certain tension whenever she'd entered a room, now she was more intimidating than ever.

Ghost and König went on as normal. Initially, they'd planned to stick closer to Bonnie to ensure her safety but that plan cancelled when she told them both personally that she was perfectly capable of taking care of herself.

"I am not a pet you think you can keep. I am a woman taken advantage of, that doesn't make me weak." she told them bitterly the week after.

Her brothers also went into business mode, no more sticking around in the kitchen for chats or talking during training.

In fact, they hadn't heard a word from Bonnie for the past week. The brothers went back to being men of few words.

Currently, Bonnie was finishing up some paperwork. She had to go to the gym later today for training.

And she was going to spend most of her day there. Like she usually does nowadays.

She sat in her chair, thinking of the reason the men needed them to stay here in the first place.

Yes to keep peace, but then again that still doesn't make it a good reason.

She'd sworn to peace with them. Now, all the underground business they had to do had been put on hold for the past few weeks. These are men who serve for their country.

Her line of work goes completely against that. Against them.

It was still managed by her second in command, though. He's doing pretty good as far as the updates go.

They'd been chatting on her burner phone lately. She needed to know that the empire her family had built wasn't crumbling just because she'd been held by the men here.

She sighs, dialling his number.

"Yes, boss?" he answers on the third ring.

"Are the trucks moving? I heard they're having a problem. Gustavo has been demanding heroin since the crack of dawn." She seethes.

"Yes, they are. It's currently getting solved. Gustavo did email me, yes. He'll receive by midnight tomorrow." he replies calmly. He knew how Bonnie could be, he wasn't worried.

"Good. He can eat ass." She sighs dramatically.

"Alright, boss." he lets out a small chuckle. "That all?"

"Yes. Thank you, Viv." she says.

"Anytime, boss." he says, hanging up soon after.

She takes a second to stretch, muscles strained before going back to work.

Ghost was pacing around, thinking.

"What's got you all riled up?" Soap asks, walking into his room.

"Rossi might still be in contact with her business." Ghost says.

"Ain't that a given?" he says, taking a seat and putting his legs up on the desk. "It's to be expected, mate. Not like anyone would give up on such a big business that quickly." he says as he gets comfortable.

"Yeah, but-"

"It's not a big deal, big man. As crazy as that sounds. In time we'll figure it out. Right now they're directly under our guard so the chances of anything going wrong is significantly lower. Calm your balls, Riley." he speaks as he fiddles with the armrest of the chair.

At that, Ghost sighs and takes a seat on the edge of his bed. Elbows on his knees, he thinks.

There are a few beats of silence, only the noise of  Soap fiddling with random things around him. He randomly speaks, still fiddling around.

"Ya like 'er, don't ya?" Soap chuckles.

Ghost's head snaps.

"What the hell, MacTavish?"

"Denial ain't gettin' you nowhere. Only deeper in that hole you're in."

"We're professional."

"I know you are."

"Then what is it?"

Soap lifts his head to look at Ghost "I know when you're falterin' mate. I can see right through you." he points two fingers from his eyes before pointing them to Ghost.

"Fuck you."

"Don't get mad at me. Just tellin' the truth." Soap shrugs.

"I'm leaving for the gym. See you." Ghost abruptly says as he gets up and grabs his water bottle before leaving the room.

"Have fun loverboy." he faintly hears Soap tell him, to which he rolls his eyes.

Ghost's pov.
She just had to be there.

Stepping into the gym going over what's on the agenda in my head goes interrupted until I saw her on the bench press.

Shit.

She makes it hard to focus.

Focus.

Trying to pull my mind back to what I came here for, I set my shit on the floor and grab a few dumbbells.

It's past midnight which, for the boys, leads to either two things. Either the gym or eat like pigs in the mess hall.

Guess this fuckin base is a barn.

The only other person in the gym other than myself was Bonnie. And fuck, that made it hard to shut up.

The music is shit in here.

As I start with my set, I stare into the mirror getting into focus. The only thing running across my mind now was trying to get myself to do another rep.

That was until I saw her in the corner of my eye. Grabbing a dumbbell for herself.

I'm not going to lie, I abuse the power I have when it comes to using this mask. Not to mention the shit lighting in this particular area made it all the more merrier to do.

She starts with her own reps, seemingly in her own world. The longer I look, the more I notice the size difference.

Fuck.

"Got a staring problem, Riley?" she says, out of breath and fuck does it make me feel some way.

"How'd you notice?" I say back, eyes focusing on myself in the mirror now.

"The hole you were glaring into the mirror said so. It's a mirror, Riley. Of course I can see you." she says before dropping the dumbbells on the rack. "My vision's better than yours under that mask."

"You sure 'bout that?" I say.

"Positive."

"Wanna see for yourself?" I suddenly blurt. Sure, that was fucking random. Hell, even I didn't think much before that.

Which is why I'm avoiding eye contact.

"Don't avoid me now, Riley." she says, taking a step to me.

"Not here, Rossi."

"You started it." she shrugs before walking away. I sigh, placing down the dumbbells and staring at her retreating figure.

"Bonnie." I call out. She turns, and even then she's fucking stunning.

Can't deny it now.

"Meet me in my room later.  We need to talk."
