Chapter V: Mistletoe

Last night, Roselyn, her siblings, and the Lestrange arrived at Shade's residence. My parents and sisters welcomed them into the second home we prepared for them to stay in. The home was warm and cozy, my parents even decorated it to feel more like Christmas for them. My parents noticed Roselyn when she introduced herself shyly but my mother quickly pulled her into a hug and adored Roselyn, and even embarrassed me of course.

"Roselyn! It is finally nice meeting you!"

"Hi, Mrs. Shade─"

"Don't be silly. Call me mom! Lucas told me so much about you and even has kept a picture of you and him on his nightstand─"

"Mom!" Blush crept on my cheeks and cleared my throat nervously. Everyone giggled embarrassed in the same room as us even though there was nothing to be embarrassed about, Roselyn and I were in love with each other. There's nothing wrong about keeping a picture of us together, right?

"Oh, did he Mom? That's so cute of him." Roselyn teased, she winked at me before going for another hug to thank my parents for letting them stay in without going to their actual home. The smile widened on her lips, the mother's love that Roselyn missed feeling.

"Thank you Mom and.." She looked up to Dad with the same smile before continuing her speech to my parents.

"Dad for inviting us to stay home to celebrate Christmas. I'm glad you don't see us like we were the same as our parents.."

"Sweetheart, we accepted you from the first time we heard about you all. We thank you for accepting who we are. You have a beautiful heart, a beautiful soul. That is why my son is madly in love with you and never stopped talking about you," Mother giggled like I wasn't near them. I softly sighed and shook my head while my cheeks were still crimson red from embarrassment.

"Alright guys, enough embarrassing me." I slowly came behind Roselyn as I looked at everybody, her siblings felt they were at home just by seeing their smiles and admiring the home where they would be staying.

"We can stay until we all go back to Hogwarts?" Ellie Riddle asked; Roselyn's little sister who just got into senior year with Ethan and Jessica.

Ethan and Lauren were in the same year, I had been noticing those two who were close with each other recently. I had my eyebrow raised at Lauren when she quickly blushed after Ethan smiled softly at her. As her older brother who's protective but I have nothing against Ethan, Ethan's a good man and I have known him since Roselyn introduced her siblings to me and my siblings. I still couldn't believe Lauren had grown up so fast when I used to baby her a lot, chances of her going to date Ethan─I'm not ready to hear Lauren officially dating Ethan one day.

"Yes as long as you all are comfortable," Father says with a big smile on his face, the wrinkles on his cheeks, and the glowing dark eyes.

"OH, isn't this exciting? We got to spend time together without being home with our noseless father─" Jessica began with an insult that she started with. Their father had returned as Lord Voldemort and remembered part of the stories we heard, he was missing a nose..

They snorted the thought of their father being noseless, but it also lightened the mood of everybody, and found another home they could visit, the home that my family welcomed them.

The Riddles and Lestrange nodded their heads excitedly as they jumped and cheered, gladly to know they were comfortable to stay during the holidays. I glanced down at Roselyn, her eyes twinkled with happiness and joy before she met my gaze.

"I think my siblings and all of us are going to get ready for tomorrow to have dinner with all of you, we are excited to spend time together as a family─"
