The sky was painted in hues of purple, and clouds gracefully danced across its expanse. My face was outside the car, the brisk wind delicately tickling my skin.

I was outside. No masks, no frivolous costumes, just us. I don't know how Demetrius orchestrated this, but either way, I'm grateful.

"You seem happy," he states. I glance back at him and nod with excitement.

"I have no clue what to order! P.S. I'm allergic to milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish like crab, lobster, shrimp, nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and sesame!" I lie blatantly.

"Right, and I'm a dinosaur, roar," he states with complete sarcasm.

Why are men so sassy?

Imagine Demi wearing a dinosaur costume. Demi, the dinosaur.

It's official; someone make this a TV show for kids. I'd watch it a hundred percent.

As he drives, my gaze drifts to his hands. Since when was it attractive the way a guy drives? I take a deep breath and divert my attention back outside.

"Anything catch your eyes?" I can feel his smirk. I want to slap him - I want to slap his booty.

"Ew, no. Nothing here is interesting at all," I declare.

"Nothing at all?" He places his left hand on the top of my leg.

Now, a logical human would scream for help. Me? No, this made me feel butterflies and explosions, like a good version of diarrhea.

Eventually, a bright sign of hope catches my eyes. It's beautiful, magnificent, and wonderful: it's the McDonald's symbol.

Call me dramatic.

He opens the car door for me, and I'm attacked by a burst of wind. I shiver and softly smile. He doesn't need me to ask; he takes off his blazer and places it on me.

It's large on me - I look like a box.

"Okay, tell me what you want, and I'll order for you."

"Can I order for myself? I've been silenced for way too long," I laugh.

"No."

"Please?"

"Fine," he grumbles.

I head towards the cool man at the desk. He wore a badge, and his name was Derek. He had a middle part haircut and was blonde. His eyes were black. I look at him and wave.

"Hello!"

"Hi, why are you so optimistic?" He asks.

This is my first time out in months is the truthful answer.

"It's McDonald's?" I wasn't lying. Just a third lying.

"Right, you're really pretty. What's your name?"
