i woke up very happy, excited to see jungkook again. i can't believe we'd be taking the subway again! i texted him to make sure he's still going.
"are you going on the subway again?" i asked.
"yep! you?" he answered immediately.
"yeah!" i texted back.
i ran downstairs to grab my cheerios.
"good morning!" i said cheerfully.
"morning! your cheerios are on the island." mom was on the couch. duck was playing roblox.
"thanks!" i ate up my cheerios very fast. i was so excited to see jungkook!
"what time does the metro leave?" mom asked.
"8:17." i responded with a mouth full of cereal.
"ah, you have time." i looked at the clock. it was 7:43.

"bye, mom!" i waved and shut the door. i looked at my watch. it was 7:56.
today i'm wearing an oversized white hoodie with black stripes and black sweatpants. it's pretty cold out, then again it is fall. i saw jungkook up the road at his apartment. i ran across the street because the timer for the crosswalk was about to run out.
"you almost died there!" jungkook said.
"you say." i said, panting. what a work out!
we walked to the metro and got to our train just in time. it was 8:13.
"how are we always almost missing our train?" jungkook laughed.
"not sure! we should get here sooner, haha." i said.

i waved jungkook goodbye and saw kaykay walking to her locker.
"KAYKAYYYYY!!!" i ran to her. she immediately opened her arms because she knew it was me.
"KLOOKLOOOOOO!!!" we cheered excitedly. i love kaykay!
"I WALKED WITH JUNGKOOK." i said. i was waiting all night to tell her.
"HOW WAS IT???" she asked.
"IT WAS THE BEST THING I HAD EVER EXPERIENCED."
"OMGGGG I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! I WONDER WHAT PERSONZ WILL SAY." we walked to personz locker to see if she was there. sure enough she was.
"hi guys!!" personz said.
"PERSONZ I WALKED WITH JUNGKOOK." i said.
"YAYYY WAS HE COOL?" personz asked with a smile on her face.
"VERY! HES THE SWEETEST BOY EVER." i said.
we walked to the caf to wait for the bell.
"did you guys finish the science project?" personz asked. we're all in the same science class.
"yeah, you?" kaykay said.
"i did." i said.
our project was on animals and their impact on the ecosystem, what they do, etc. i did anteaters, kaykay did sharks, and personz did giraffes. we could do whatever animal we wanted because there 7.77 million species in the world (our science teacher mr jake shim told us that), but only one of us can do an animal for that matter.
ring ring ring
"good morning everyone!" mr felix lee said. he was bright and happy as per usual.
"good morning!" some of us said. some of us were groggy.
beeeep
"hello and good morning everyone, could we please stand for the national anthem." our principal ms iu said.

the announcements went on as usual, but something caught my attention.
"some exciting news, next friday will be our annual homecoming. dress up and dance the night away with your peers!"
a homecoming? a HOMECOMING? oh my gosh, i can't wait. i really hope jungkook asks me out!
"this is your chance!" kaykay said excitedly while grabbing my shoulders.
"i hope so! i just hope he feels the same." i said.
jungkook pov
...homecoming? i don't know if i want to ask her out... does she even like me? i think so, but she may just think we're super good friends. last time i asked a girl out to a homecoming was last year in busan, her name was yejin, she was super nice but we only went out for that. we didnt really talk much afterwards.
"hongjoong?" i said.
"yes?" he replied.
"do you think klooble will like it if i ask her out?"
"totally! she seems to like you a lot." he exclaimed.
"maybe. i like her too, like, like like her." i said.
"i want to ask personz out, i like her a lot too, but you know, that overbearing feeling of rejection." hongjoong said.
he's right, the thought of rejection is scary. kind of embarrassing too if you did it in front of an entire crowd.
"yeah. i don't know, i'll plan something."
narrator
in the morning geography class, there was taehyung who was stirring up a plan to ask out jungkook.
taehyung pov
this homecoming came in clutch. i need to get with jungkook somehow, this will up my chances. i know he loves me, if he doesn't we can't be friends. i'm going to plan an entire layout when i ask him out. there'll be streamers, balloons, trumpets, etc. so much to get him to say yes.

—lunch time—
i sat at my table with personz and kaykay. today i got school lunch because i asked my mom and she said yes. at school we got miso soup, kimchi, white rice, chicken nuggets, and carrots and cucumbers. this looks so amazing, i'm already halfway done the rice.
"look who's strolling up." kaykay pointed. it's jungkook!
"hi jungkook!!" i said happily.
"hey klooble! i have a question." he said.
"go ahead." i said.
"um, do you want to go out after school? to like a cafe or a small restaurant? if you can't that's fine, or if you don't want to..."
my brain went kerplunk.
"oh, yeah, of course!" i said. i looked like a very huge tomato.
"sick! we can look at cafes on the subway. okay, bye now!" jungkook walked away.
i am so excited.
