It was a beautiful snowy day in the land of New York, and everybody was celebrating Christmas. In a nice home called Hook and Ladder 8, a Handyman Doll named Back To Front, and his French Doll Husband named Claude were unwrapping presents under a Chrtistmas Tree. Back To Front gave Claude a circle-shaped pink and white striped box with a white bow on it as he said "It's for you, Claude. Merry Christmas." "Oh, Back to Front!" Claude said as he took the box from his husband. "It's the one I was admiring, isn't it? Trimmed with ribbons." "Well, it has a ribbon." Back to Front said as Claude opened the box, and a Baby with Red/Black Glasses and Brown/Blue Eyes, wearing a red ribbon popped out. Claude gasped at the sight of the Baby, and picked him up with his Hands as he said "Oh, how sweet!" "You like him, Claude?" Back To Front asked. "Oh, I love him!" Claude said with a smile. "What a perfectly beautiful little Baby. We should call him Egon Spengler." Later that night, Back To Front took Egon to the kitchen while carrying a basket with his Hands as he said "Come on, Egon. Over here." Egon went up to the basket as Back to Front said "That's a Boy." He set the basket down on the floor, and placed Egon on the bed as he said "There now. A nice little bed for you."
"But, Back to Front, are you sure he will be warm enough?" Claude asked as he placed a small blanket over Egon. "Why, of course not." Back to Front said. "he'll be snug as a bug in a-ah ah. Almost forgot something." He placed a newspaper near the basket as he said "There." He then turned the light in the kitchen off, as he said "Goodnight, Egon." As they went out the kitchen door, Claude looked at Egon who started to follow them, and Back to Front said "Now, now. Don't worry, Claude. he'll go right to sleep." Egon then went out the door, but Back to Front stopped him, and placed him back in the basket as he said "No, no, Egon. This is where you belong. Right here." As he went out, Egon jumped out of the basket, and gently pushed the door open. he went up to the stairs, and started yipping at her owners. "Ah, look. he's lonesome." Claude said. "Don't you think, maybe, just for a night?" "Now, Claude, if we are going to show him who's master, we must be firm from the very beginning." Back to Front said as he placed Egon in the basket, and went out the kitchen door. He then used the chair nearby the door to bolt it shut to keep Egon from opening it, and following them.
Egon then jumped out of the basket, and ran up to the door. he tried to open it, but Back to Front had already bolt it shut. he yipped in a sad and loud tone to get Back to Front and Claude's attention. Back to Front pounded on the floor above him as he said "Egon, stop that now. Stop it!" Egon kept yipping as Back to Front got up from his bed, and went down the stairs. Egon smiled as Back to Front, and howled, but then frowned when he pounded on the door, and said "Egon, quiet now! Do you hear me? Back to bed! Quick now! Not one more sound!" Egon then jumped into his basket, and fell asleep.
