Chapter I

A young man wakes up at a crimson gate, clothes bloody from his heart bursting death. He stepped up to the gate and pushed it open. He was transported to a horrific realm full of creatures he had never seen. He fought to remember what happened before looking into a shop window to see a young man with olive skin, fiery red hair, and a pair of lavender eyes. He felt his face, suddenly patting himself down, trying to find an id. He opened his wallet to find a card that read the following:

"California
Date of Birth: August 22
Name:
1 VENICE
2 AUSTIN ANTONIO
Address: 1999 East Woodrow Avenue, Las Angeles, California"

This information was partnered by a picture of him, but a few years younger with a set of silver braces. He sighed, stuffing it back into his jacket pocket as he finally took a look at what he was wearing. A black suit jacket and slacks with a white dress shirt now stained red. There was a giant hole in the shirt with singed edges. He unbuttoned his top to find a giant hole with his heart beating slowly. The pulsating muscle made him retched, blood and bile coming up with....maggots?!?! He screamed out in fear, stumbling away. "What the hell?!" He realized he was now dead, and he ran through the streets of his new world. Fire engulfed his body as he ran, metal searing into his flesh. He fell to his knees as the agony of the metal and flames got to him, causing him to cry out and writhe on the ground. His bared body was scarred save for his face. He began standing up as Black leather wrapped his body, his eyes turning a fiery yellow. A crimson halo formed above his head as he stood up. Smirking and cackling in the midst of the street.

He began drooling at the scent of food floating in the air. He stumbled down the street and through a pair of double doors. Metal clinked as his body moved, a grin spread across his face. He sniffed the air as a woman made her way to the front where he stood. She smiled, her blonde hair pulled back into a braid. "Good evening, sir! How may I help you?" Austin slurped his drool up. "F-food." The woman looked at him confused. "Y-you're hungry?" He nodded, throwing his head back and looking at her. This poor man. She thought, His mind must have broken during his transformation. I can still smell the brimstone. Austin stumbled around the lobby. The woman smiled and sighed before noticing something. She noticed a red halo above his head. She looked over at a fellow worker, one with grey skin and white hair. "Hey, Vaggie? Can you man the counter for a minute?" The woman sighed, nodding. The blonde woman saw Austin laying on the couch, hearing him begin to whimper in pain as the adrenaline from the pain finally wore off. She looked over to a short cyclops and knelt down. "Hey, I need you to grab some whiskey for the young man over there. He just arrived, and he's starting to feel the agony from his turning." The cyclops nodded, "Alright, Charlie. I'll get right on it." She smiled. Charlie nodded, "Thanks, Nifty." She left the room and pulled out her phone. She called Lucifer in hopes he'd know who this guy was. She heard the line pick up on the other end with a smooth voice, "Yellow?" The voice said. "Hey, dad. It's Charlie." She began, "I have a new sinner here, like new new, and I was wondering if you could give me some info on him." Lucifer thought for a moment, "Very well, what is his name?" Charlie fell silent, "Uh, here's the thing. I never actually caught his name. He wandered in in a temporary psychosis before the adrenaline faded and left him feeling pain." Lucifer sighed, "Any visual attributes I should be searching my database for?" Charlie pouted, "You mean that Capri will search for." Lucifer sighed, "Charlotte." Charlie rolled her eyes, "Let's see. Six foot two, olive skin, red hair, lavender eyes, and..." Lucifer sat up straight, "Did you say red hair and lavender eyes?" Charlie was surprised by Lucifer's shock, "Y-yeah, why?" Lucifer began searching through his files, "No, no, no, no, no! This can't be!" Charlie was confused and scared, "What?! What is it?" Lucifer finally found it, "Oh my Satan." He opened the file and covered his mouth, "Charlie, that man is your cousin." Charlie chuckled nervously, "Uh, w-what?" Lucifer shook his head. "My sister, Uriel, had a son with a human in 2001. His name was Austin." Charlie would slide down the wall in shock, "The day everything went south." Lucifer sighed, "Yeah, he's surely gonna need some help fitting in." Suddenly, Charlie heard a loud crash. "I'll call you back." She rushed into the lobby to see what happened. Austin had fallen to the floor, unconscious. "What the hell happened?" Charlie rushed to his side, holding him. Vaggie stood back in shock with a concerned expression. "He stood up and tried to stretch. He was fine and walking for a moment and just collapsed like he had a head rush or something." Nifty remarked. Charlie looked at Austin, worried. Alastor entered the room, seeing what happened. When he saw Austin's face, his expression turned to that of disgust, "Who brought a nephilim into this establishment?" He asked coldly. Charlie looked up at Alastor, her expression stern. Vaggie looked at Alastor with an annoyed expression, "Why is that an issue? Why should we be concerned about a nephilim?" Alastor sighed, looking at Vaggie, "I'm only looking out for your well-being. If a nephilim is here, then you'll surely be killed." Charlie glared at him, "You don't know that. They have human souls, too, this one isn't even conscious." Alastor scoffed, "He's a danger none the less, dear." He looks at her before sighing, "However, if you're sure, then it's your responsibility to keep him out of trouble while he's here." Charlie looks at Austin with a nervous expression.
