Chapter I

Blades scrape against concrete as a man in a black suit runs through an abandoned street. He heard a low, chilling cackle. "Come on, Mark. It's not personal. Just business." The man hits a dead end, turning back. His widen as a loud, fleshy thunk echoes through the corridor. Blood oozes from his mouth as Austin Venice, the half blood angel approached him, "Unfortunately for you, I'm in the business of killing." Austin grabbed the blade's handle and rips it upward, splitting Mark up the center.

Austin cackled, sweeping his hair back out of his face. He tapped his phone, speed dialing IMP. "Hey, Blitzø. Yeah, he's dead. Heading back now." As he hangs up, a diamond shaped portal opening up. He steps through, leaving the brutalized corpse behind. "Hot damn, Venice. You are a killing machine lately." Blitzø said with a smirk, "What's been eating at you recently?" Austin sighed, "Uriel's coming to town soon. My first time meeting her, and that's what I'm pissed about." He stabbed the knife into the table, nearly piercing Moxxie's tail and leaving him pale in the face, Austin continued with a razor's edge to his voice, "She didn't want anything to do with me for 22 years, and now she's wanting to visit." Blitzø shrugged, "Eh, I get it. Didn't want anything to do with you until they want something." Austin slumped in his chair, "Nah, she's coming for Charlie." Blitzø let out a sympathetic "Ooo". "Well, don't worry, because I got something for your birthday." Austin looked at Blitzø, cautiously, "Color me skeptical." Blitzø gaffahs as he goes to his office. A clatter and the scampering of hooves emerges from Blitzø's office before he emerges with a little black goat in his arms. The creature had an IMP sticker on its head and two big dumb eyes as it blepped. "I know that hell can be lonesome and depressing, so I thought I'd get you a companion from your place of origin." He handed Austin the critter and the goat blinked and nuzzled up to Austin, soft bleets escaping it's lips. "Blitzø, this is," He looked at his boss with a flurry of emotions, "Thank you, sir." Blitzø shrugged, "Don't mention it. Now, head home. Work days over."

When Austin got back to the Hotel, Charlie and Vaggie were holding Kiki and Fat Nuggets back from each other. "Kiki, no! Don't be mean to the pig!" Kiki hissed, and scampered away, climbing onto Austin's shoulder. "Still trying to get them to get along?" Austin asked. Vaggie sighed, "Yeah,  Nuggets wants to play with Kiki, but she won't have it." She noticed the goat in Austin's arms and smirked, "I see you got a pet." Austin nodded, "Yeah, I just don't know what to name him. I'm thinking Baphemet, but he's a prince of hell, so I don't know what to call him." The goat opened its eyes and let out a sound, "Baaap!" It bleated, making Charlie gush at its cuteness. "Baaaap" It was like it was trying to communicate. Austin smirked. "I'll call him Bap." Charlie squealed, "He's so cuuute!" She petted Bap, smiling. Vaggie shrugged, "Where exactly did you get Bap?" Austin explained that Blitzø got him from earth and gave it to him as a gift.

Chapter II

Days pass and Bap became more comfortable with everyone and chewing on Alastor's coat. Alastor, with a grimace, snatched the coat out of his mouth. Bap playfully began headbutting Alastor's leg, bleating. Suddenly, the doors to the hotel swung open and reveal a woman dressed in a black gown. Her red hair was pulled into a ponytail, and her eyes were a familiar lavender color. Austin came down the stairs slowly, seeing the woman. "Who are you?" He asked, half hoping she wouldn't say his mom. The woman smiled, her eyes sparking with smarm. "Is that anyway to greet your mother?" Austin grumbled, "Oh course you're my mom, the resemblance is obviously." He stepped down the stairs and stood before her. "What exactly does this visit entail?" The woman smirked, "Your twenty-second birthday is special. I wouldn't miss it to save my life." Austin sighed, "So what, the other twenty-one were mere specks of dust?" He muttered. "Austin, sweety. I love you, always have. I've just been busy. You know how important my job is." Austin slumped his shoulders, "I know. No days off. The world doesn't revolve around me." Uriel sighed, "Darling, I know you felt left behind for years." Austin listened to her reasoning, hearing as she explained that the angels made a pact that they wouldn't make contact with there half blood children and blah, blah, blah. Austin grit his teeth, "Okay, so did you come up with this excuse before or after reading a Rick Riordan novel?" Uriel looked at him confused, "Who?" Austin's breathing stopped momentarily, "Hold up." Charlie approached Austin with a sigh, "Yeah, dad explained it to me last night." Austin sighs, "Alright, then why find me now?" Uriel smiled, her eyes locked on him. "It's simple. The pact ended on your twenty-second birthday." Austin sighed, "Talk about lazy writing."
