Ch 3

  The sun started to show it's warm toned colors, inside the tiny house in the middle of Wall Rose; Levi rose his head, opening his eyes slowly. Looking at the window, watching the sun rise and shine its light on both Levi and Eren—who is still on the couch—making the brunette open his eyes. He looked up at the short man who was sitting above him, only for the brunette to realize that his head was on something squishy and warm. His head was on Levi's lap. Eren's face started to get hot slowly, freezing at the thought that his ass might get beat. Levi later opened his eyes, immediately looking down slowly at Eren who was still frozen in shock and fear. He rolled his eyes and tapped his forehead making the brunette get off quickly, saluting to his Captain. "G-GOOD MORNING SIR!!"

"Morning Jaeger."

They both stayed silent for a good five minutes until Levi finally stood up. "Eren, I don't care if your head was on my lap. Last night you were really sick and scared, so of course it was reasonable for me to give you comfort." Eren slowly lowered his hand from his chest, looking at the shorter man with a tiny bit of shock. He remembered what had happened that night. "You won't say anything to anyone..right..?" he frowned looking over at the bloody bucket. Levi sighed softly, he wanted to tell Erwin at least. What would that do for him? To The squad? For himself..?

"No, no I won't..only shitty glasses knows right?"

Eren nodded sitting back down opening his bag to pull out bread and a tiny jar of jam. Levi's eyebrows rose at the jar, he had not seen a bottle of jam in a long time. "For once, you're prepared." he said sitting next to the brunette. Eren looked over at him with a tiny glare. "Well it never hurts to be prepared, especially for a two day trip." he huffed, spreading the jam on the bread. Levi let out a tiny chuckle, looking at the sunrise from the window of the old house. Eren looked over at him, staring at how the shorter man looked at the sunrise so peacefully. His cheeks started to get a bit hot, he looked away and started to eat his bread with jam. "Do you want some Captain?" he asked with his mouth full making a tiny mess, with some jam on his cheek as well. Levi looked over seeing the mess he was making, he took out his handkerchief and scooted himself closer to him. "Jesus what are you? 5? What a mess.." he mumbled, wiping away the crumbs from the brunette thighs, then wiping the jam off of his cheeks with the handkerchief. Levi looked at Eren slowly after he was finished, his hand still on the brunette's cheek. He looked into his eyes, shining with the sun's light making his green emerald eyes glimmer. Eren stared back into Levi's dark silver eyes not knowing how his eyes can be so beautiful. "U-u-uh..Captain?" Levi pulled away putting his handkerchief back in his pocket looking away. "Shut up and eat, we need to get moving before Erwin can see through Hanjis excuses." he said, crossing his arms. Eren narrowed his eyes only to see that Levi's cheeks were a bright red, which made him happy to see that his Captain isn't heartless after all.
   The two men finished cleaning themselves up and preparing their horses to run for a few more hours. "Alright. That's everything right?" Eren asked, getting onto his horse. Levi nodded getting onto his. "Alright, no more pit stops. Unless there's a Titan. Let's pray we survive." Levi said letting his horse run ahead. Eren nodded following him straight to Wall Rose. 

Meanwhile… (Two days to be precise)

The Sina base has been lively ever since the disappearance of Eren and Levi. No one has suspected that those two even went missing, except for one person- Mikasa Ackerman. "Armin, I can't keep it in anymore I may be crazy- where the fuck is Eren?" she said slamming her spoon down on the table catching everyone else's attention. Armin flinched and looked at her clearly, seeing that she was pissed, he looked around to see that his Squad was even curious to what they heard Mikasa say. "Yea..that's true I haven't seen Eren at all these past two days." Historia said, taking another sip of her soup. "Yeah, no wonder I've been so chill and relaxed. That brat wasn't there to bother me!" Jean laughed yanking a bite of his bread. "More like you bothering him." Connie snickered along with Sasha joining him. Jean glared at the two flicking a piece of his bread at Connie. Mikasa rolled her eyes and stood up. "Listen! Eren is missing of course- but the main thing is that Captain Levi is missing as well without Commander Erwin even knowing about it." she said standing on the bench. "That is odd, maybe this did something to Eren." Reiner said with a worried look on his face, Bertholdt looked at Reiner with a worried look as well. Mikasa glared at them not even wanting to think that possibly could've happened to Eren. "Well- we're his friends! We're family! If anything happens to our family, we must help them in any way!" Mikasa shouted. "I guess you're right Mikasa, but how the hell are we gonna do that with all of us missing to go find the brat anyway?" Ymir yawned, leaning her head onto Historias head. Mikasa let out a tiny tch and took a tiny glance over at Armin expecting him to figure out a plan. Armin sighed softly and smiled. "How about each one of us at night when Erwin and Hanji are sleeping, each of us go into groups and search every part of Sina. Every. Part. If we get caught we'll just tell them that there is a thief stealing our food supply!"

"Ahh armin you're so smart. Okay! I'm in!" Sasha grinned drinking the rest of her soup. "Okay, then it's settled." Mikasa said, smiling at them. 

Eren and Levi had been on the run for two days, finally reaching their destination. They both stopped in the front of Wall Maria, Shiganshina. "Alright, this is where we leave our horses to rest and get tied up with our supplies. Get what you think is necessary." Levi said getting off his horse. Eren nodded grabbing a knife and his medication. They both walked to the tiny lift right by the wall, it started to go up. As soon as those two rose to the top, the sun hit them with a beautiful sunset. "Wow..I am going to miss this when we get back to nothing but walls.." Levi said getting off the lift, staring at the beautiful view. Eren did the same, smiling a bit, he was back at his hometown. He started to frown slowly, remembering the attack of the Titans back when he was a kid. How his mother got eaten right in front of him as well. Levi looked over at Eren seeing the light in Eren's eyes slowly go away. "Hey..Eren." he said, putting his hand on his shoulder. Eren flinched and looked back at him with tears forming in his eyes. Levi flinched a bit to see him cry. "Hey..it's okay. There's no titans, everything is chill..think of it this way. The people who had suffered with fighting titans or living the fear of them coming in, they're finally at peace.." he said wiping Erens tears away. The brunette blushed softly nodding slowly calming down. "Okay..okay, I'm ready." he said walking to the other lift. Levi smiled a bit feeling a slight bit of freedom, he walked to the lift as well feeling it go down slowly. 

   Eren and Levi walked around the whole neighborhood trying to find Eren's house. "Eren are you sure this is even your neighborhood?" Levi groaned looking for the big boulder that crushed his house. Eren looked down at the path that he and his two best friends used to run across to play, how they would beat up bullies and mess with Hannes whether he was drunk or sober. He followed the path slowly reaching his house, that boulder is still there. It grew moss. "This is it." Eren said putting his hand on the boulder. Levi looked at the house, feeling a bit of pity in him. "Okay, let's try and move the boulder.." he said softly, grabbing a large piece of wood. He stabbed it under the rock pushing the wood down to see if the rock would budge. Eren helped by pushing it a bit as hard as he could. Eventually it did move away, showing a door. The two men walked down to the door kicking it down only to show the basement of Grisha Jaeger. Levi looked around, all the books and the markings of what disease he helped make. Eren looked at the shelf looking for the cure all over, shelf, his desk even old boxes. 

Eren looked down and sighed softly, he started to remember something about when he last saw his father, he carried his briefcase, he remembered a book that was in it,, a book that he has seen so many times before. His eyes widened as he fell to his knees. Levi looked over at him with a confused look, he walked over. "What's the matter?"

"...He took the book of my cure with him before he left on that day..Before he went missing. There's no cure for me.."
