PRESENT

SHE stands near the balcony of her room gazing at the moon of
the night, wearing night pjs, the longing in her eyes evident to
the moon and late night chipping nature.

During the day, her studies, friends, and family kept her busy
but as the night fell with it came the thoughts of that unknown
someone and it was no different
today.

(Naintara’s POV)

THAT night I lost two things. My heart to an unknown man and
the last belonging I possessed of my parents. I thought the
thoughts of the unknown someone would soon fade like a dark
whisper of the dark night. That this was temporary, but I was
wrong.

He lived here, right in my heart. He was present in my life even
when he wasn't.

And it seems like a magic, the way these ten months flew by in
his thoughts, my college and studies, and my family time.

Just like that my ten months were a boom!

Heaving a sigh, with a last look at the moon I picked my book
from the side table moving deeper into the darkness of my room.
The door of the balcony sliding shut behind us.

THE moonlight falling on the bracelet made it shine like a star in the lonely darkness just like the man's situation. His eyes
possessed the same longing they had for the past ten months,
it's been so long but he still wasn't able to find her.

He might have believed she was an angel if not for the bracelet
in his possession; he would have thought it was the magic in his
moments of darkness.

That's how much she resembled an angel and that's how much
dreamful and playfully he was before the accident which forced
him into a reserved and stoic man.

"Where are you, my Angel?" He whispers in a deep voice.

He tried to not tighten his fist around the bracelet afraid even a
slight force might break the only belonging of her he had in his
possession.

He has a name in the underworld and has been ruling his
kingdom with his tight fist but still hasn’t find her, which made
him question himself and the power in his name.

He tried everywhere he could but he wasn’t able to understand where he was making errors. Where? Was his power so useless that he has not been able to find his
angel?

The bracelet and the engraved Veena are his only source of
finding her but so far he hasn't been successful. Even the
hospital didn't have a record of her. She didn’t provide her
singular information.

But he remembered it. That angelic beauty she possessed and
her sweet little voice. He remembers her babblings even when she thought he wasn't listening.

(Abhiveer’s POV)

DEEP in my angel's thoughts and the peaceful silence of my
office I submerged in my angel’s thoughts.

If I could hold just her hand which would give me a hope. A hope that she was alive and I have found her.!

A knock sounded from outside my office, "Come in," I ordered.

The door of the office was pushed open as my P.A. walked
inside followed by the light, the light which seems to be lost in
my life.

"Sir, we have a meeting." He informs, stuttering. I hate when
they stutter.

Heaving a sigh, I pick my blazer hanging on the head chair of
my office walking towards the main door.

My office had its one side covered with bookshelves, with a
couch set on the other. There were not many employees at this
late hour of the night as many have already retired to their
homes.

As of my P.A., Jeet, he is well aware of the shabbier side this
business holds.

He knew but at the end of the day his choice would always
remain with the company, right by my side sticking closer to me
and at the same time away from this side of business.

I have never forced him and I will never, not when I had similar
thoughts until a year ago when the circumstances changed me
forever.

I sometimes miss the older me when I could live freely without
a care of the danger lurking in every minute and every corner of
my life. Until a year ago, I have always avoided the mafia business our family conducted. But now look at who I have turned into for the world.

Most of the meetings and dealing related to our mafia side
have been handled by my Uncle all these years but now he was
sick.

And I will handle it all until he could recover back to his health,
which forced my P.A. to take a part in.

All the heads turns my way as I enter the conference hall,
some burning with jealousy while others bowing down in fear.

I tighten my hold slightly on the bracelet in my blazer pocket
which I could never forgot was there, right in my hands which
gave me a sense of her.

As I took my respective place, it was the start of the meeting.

______________

They had a longing for each other but no one knew how to overcome it. But maybe, maybe the universe did. It always does.

He may not know how but what he knows is,
He would find her no matter what, even if it means turning world upside down.

Desperate for her he was but afraid to lose those memories and afraid to never find her.

What if he was late?
