Leo stared at himself in the mirror. He quickly began nitpicking everything about himself. His shoulders were small, his stripes vibrant, even his face squished in a way that none of his brothers really had to deal with. He looked soft, and although he enjoyed being flamboyant, he felt like he looked overwhelmingly feminine today. His lip began to quiver, and he whined before grabbing his comfort hoodie and the closest pair or sweatpants. Better. He looked better. To anyone else in the world, he's just some weird turtle ninja mutant, but to Leo, He was a girl. He let out a shaky breath and looked in the mirror full of sadness and disgust. Then his bedroom door slammed open, causing leo to flinch. " Hey love bug! Who wants to go to Huesos with his favorite sister ever!!!!" April basically boomed before she was met with the sad view of the typically "I eat up every outfit ever" brother in sweats and a very familiar, formally known as dysphoria hoodie. "Oh Leo..." The scarily thin turtle turned around to face his older sister, letting all the tears spill. The door hissed shut, and April framed the boy in a hug. "What's wrong, sugar? We don't have to do huesos! We can stay home shhh Oh.. bud..." her heart always shattered when she heard the lively boy break into sobs. April guided Leo to his bed and sat next to him , rubbing small circles into his shell. Then the boy spoke .. " 'm nuh real boy...m justa giwl..." He threw his head in his hands and sniffled.April grabbed the small boys hands away from his face so she can make sure he truly hears what she is about to say, "Baby, how could you think that about the most handsome, precious, cutest little boy in the whole world? You are beautiful. You are strong. You are valid. And most importantly, you will *always* be my baby boy," April whispered softly while cupping her pseudo baby brother's face. Leo sniffled as tears bubbled up all over again. The regressed turtle began rubbing at his face frantically, but his big sister wiped away every last one.The tears and sniffles slowed. "You okay sugar?" A devious smile spread across Leo's face."Heyyyy
What's that smug Lil face for -" Leo then tackled his big sister in a hug followed by a fit of giggles. They laughed on the mattress side by side as Leo snuggled into the crook of April's neck, April just draped her arms around the small slider. Leo looked up at April with big eyes "you got some dangerously adorable puppy eyes y'know" this of course caused the small turtle to get blushy and giggly before it was broken by the sound of a tummy growling. Is someone hugryyy?" April teased and tickled at Leo's plastron. The small boy squealed and began chirping "You're so cute, sugar" she kissed the little's head and sat up, the boy immediately clung to his older sister as she failed to stifle a laugh."I'm not going anywhere, love bug~" The slider was just rubbing his face into the crook of his cg's neck, adoring her jacket's texture against his skin and the calming scent. April let out a content sigh, realizing her little guy wasn't going anywhere. She stabilized her grip on the turtle tot and got up of the bed carrying him around the room. "Want to keep the pants, or do you want shorts?" April asked, already traveling to his closet."sorts!! Ssorts!!!" The little excitedly squealed as April grabbed a pair of breezy athletic short shorts , knocking his fist in the process. She quickly helped him put on his shorts that peaked out of his hoodie. "Do you need help with your shoes, bug?" Leo shyly nodded as April got down to his level, tying his sneakers for him. The boy now more energetic hopped up "tankies mama!" He was heading for the door , grabbing for April's hand, but Leo was met with a piece of chewlery and being picked up. "How about you be my little boy today? Okay? Let's go get huesos ♡"
