I kept the note inside my drawer, took out my phone and decided to text her
"You know, instead of this fancy lunch, I would have preferred you just sent me some homemade goodness."
"Oh, really? I thought you'd appreciate a break from my questionable cooking skills."
"Well, I'd risk it for a taste of your 'questionable' cooking over this overpriced stuff any day."
She added an eye roll emoji "Fine, next time you're getting a homemade masterpiece, whether you like it or not."
"Fine by me!! Did you have your lunch"?
" I did, Ok ttyl I need to finish my work"
I texted her a bye and ended up getting back to my work. Arijit walked into my cabin with a full face and I knew that something was wrong. "What is it now?". I asked him
"Sir Ms. Ghosh is here". He replied
This annoying woman. Lord save me. Even when her name is mentioned I feel annoyed as fuck. She looks dumb but she isn't. Sharvari Ghosh is the only pawn who'd help me reach my goal even if it leads me to the path of destruction.
"Ask her to leave, and if she doesn't agree ask the guards to throw her out". I said and Arijit immediately nodded and walked out of my cabin. I got back to my work and completed all of it and when I checked the time it was 05:15 PM which means it was time for Mrs. Raivansh to leave her office as well. I picked up my keys and coat and drove to her office. She walked with one of her colleagues I guess her smile is definitely A beautiful sight that brightens the room. Her gaze met mine and she stopped in her track, confusion or may be surprise loomed on her face. She bid her friend goodbye and walked towards me.

A mix of surprise and warmth, my heart quickened as I saw him leaning on the car frame. Even after a long day he still looked fresh just the same way he was in the morning. He seemed calm and was patiently waiting for me. Prerna nudged me and I turned to look at her and she gave me a teasing smile.
"Looks like someone just got married to a big time green flag"!!She beamed
I was flustered at her comment
"Oh yes, he's leaning on his car, looking like he just stepped out of a magazine. Your daily dose of eye candy is waiting!" She said and I glared at her
*blushing* "Stop teasing! How did he even find time to drop by?" I questioned
"Maybe he just couldn't resist seeing his stunning wife for a long day. You've got yourself a keeper!"
She patted my back and I looked at him and that's when our gaze met Our eyes locked, and a subtle smile played on both of our lips. I walked towards him and when I got close he pulled out a bouquet for me from the front seat.
"I thought these might brighten your day. How was work?" He asked
I had a very bright smile on my face.
"Thank you! It was hectic, but I feel a bit better. How was your day?" I asked
"It was good. Tell me all about it over dinner?"
It was the first time someone was actually asking if my day went fine or not. It made me feel so good. He opened the door for me, and I sat in. He started driving, and I kept staring at the bouquet made of daisies. How did he know I loved daisies?? Oh Did he just stalk me on Instagram? Just like I did? I bit my tongue.
"Mr. Instagram Detective. What were you doing lurking through my old posts?" I smirked and questioned him.
"Well, I just wanted to make sure I knew all your likes and dislikes. You know, for surprise purposes." He replied
"Sure, sure. Excuses, excuses. But did you find anything interesting?" I asked him.
"Oh, plenty. You're a fan of cheesy romance novels but act like you are not into it, and you also have a weakness for chocolate ice cream. You love stargazing and I've found a lot more things too". He said winking at me and crimson painted my cheeks.
"Okay, you might be onto something there. But seriously, isn't that a bit creepy?"
"Creepy or not, I hardly care and besides you are my wife and I am man who wants to keep his wife Happy. And by the way, I stalked your Instagram too before our first meet". He said
"You did?"
"Absolutely. Found out you love sunsets, have a soft spot for rescue dogs, and enjoy quoting classic literature. I figured it was a good start to get to know you."
"Well played. I guess stalking does have its sweet side." I said and he laughed while shaking his head.
I took out some Dark chocolate I know he likes them. I brought it closer to his mouth as he was driving. He smiled and took it inside him mouth. I took out my phone and started scrolling through his account, I almost hid my phone so he couldn't see it.
"Looking for any hidden secrets or embarrassing photos?" He said suddenly scaring me.
"Maybe I just wanted to see if your taste in memes matched mine. Spoiler alert: it doesn't." I said and he laughed.
"Ouch, that hurts. I thought we were destined to share a lifetime of perfectly synced meme laughter and just to let you know I am not into memes".
He stated dramatically and a snort left my mouth. Mr. Raivansh isn't as grumpy as people think he is. Prerna told me that media has portrayed him as a man who has no emotion in his heart. But look at him, He smiles so genuinely the kind of smile that can stop your heart beat.
"Nice try. But seriously, stalking my Instagram?" He questioned
"Guilty as charged. I needed to know what I was getting into, and, you know, make sure your taste in pizza wasn't too questionable." I said and he rolled his eyes.
"Well, congratulations, Sherlock. Did you discover anything earth-shattering?"
"Just that you have a thing for sunsets, coffee shop poetry, and an impressive collection of watches. Oh, and a husband who knows how to keep a secret."
He laughed and I joined him too. We got back home had our dinner and ended the day. It sure was a hectic one.
