CHAPTER 7- PROVE ME RIGHT

PROVE ME RIGHT.

THE DAY was her first day of work, and even if she found it tiring, she had fun communicating with clients, bagay na sanay na siyang gawin dahil sa trabaho niya sa palengke, she found it tiring because there were a lot of orders from her boss. Ang dalawang bagay na napansin niya kay Raven sa mga panahong ito ay ang pagiging focus nito sa trabaho, at ang pagiging bossy niya. Na papaisip din siya kung di paba ito pagod, dahil sa dinami rami na ng mga meeting na kanyang pinuntahan ngayong araw ay di manlang nakakita si Denise ng pagod sa lalaki.

It's twelve o'clock, oras na upang kumain ng lunch, ngunit abala parin ang Dalaga sa pagtitipa ng kanyang computer. She barely had time to breathe or eat her lunch even despite her hunger, because every minute there were clients calling, or her boss just ordering her,And she knew it was normal since this is a big company after all.

"Denice." Rinig niyang Tawag ni Raven sakanya, inangat niya ang kaniyang tingin sa binata, di namalayang nakatayo na pala ito sa harap niya, tumigil siya sa pagtipa ng computer, "Yes sir?" Tanong niya, waiting for his order, "order lunch."

"On it." She said, and gave him a sweet smile before going to a website that sells food and offers delivery, "Anong gusto mong pagkain sir, they have a variety." She said looking at all the food options on the screen, making her mouth water since wala pa siyang nakakain maliban lamang sa dalawang piraso ng pandisal limang oras na ang nakakaraan.

"Your choice. And make it a meal for two. " He said before going back to his office, she shook her head, 'hmm baka undecided lang yun.' she thought, but he gave her the power to choose his lunch, and it seems like her boss had someone joining him for lunch, or he just had a big appetite, since he's a big man with a tall muscular build after all.

Looking at him standing In front of her, made her feel like she was small, halos kapantay lamang siya ng balikat nito, he was tall at high school, but she could agree that he was much taller now.

She picked the food options that she thought Raven would like, and judging from his taste it seemed like he liked expensive stuff and food that she remembered him liking back in highschool, where she would study him harder than any of the subjects, so she bought expensive foods like Lobsters, and beefsteak, she pouted when she couldn't find adobo, a food that she remembered was his favorite.

MOMENTS later the food arrived steaming hot, at di niya mapigilang magutom sa bango ng mga pagkaing nasaloob ng paper bags, her stomach growl as she carried the food to his office, she knocked on the glass tinted door "come in." She heard Raven's voice from the other side, and so she entered his office carrying two big paper bags in her hands "Nandito na yung mga pagkain sir."

"Put it on the table" He said, kaya naman inilagay niya ito sa babasaging mesa sa harap ng mg couches, "do you have someone coming over sir?" She asked since his order was a meal for two. 

"No one." She flinched when she heard his voice behind her, wala siyang kamalay malay na nasa likod niya na pala ito, hinarap niya ang binata, meeting his cold eyes staring down at her, it felt like he was looking at a little prey Infront of him, ready to devour every inch of her, his intoxicating manly smell filled her nostrils, hear heart beats like a drum, as she looks away trying to hide the redness on her cheeks.

" I-i just thought you had someone since you ordered a meal for two." Utal niyang sabi, as she awkwardly smiled, at bahagyang lumayo, since the distance between them is too close.

"Eat well sir." She was about to head out, when he gripped her wrist making her stop, napatingin siya sa binata, "Sit; Eat with me" He said, making it feel like an order rather than an offer.

"Ahh sir m-may paperwor-" "I'm your boss Denice, paperworks can wait." Imbes na matakot ay di ito maramdaman ng dalaga, intimidation somehow made her feel amazed for some unknown reason. Kaya naman ay tumango siya, dahil napansin niyang walang kasama ang binatang kumain, it would be rude to refuse his offer, and she would like to accompany him since, he was her boss, para maging close naman sila.

She sat on the couch, and he sat on a couch across her, she opened the foods, as soon as the yummy aroma of the foods hit her nose, her mouth water of hunger, napatingin siya sa binata at nakitang nakatingin lang ito sa mga pagkain, ngunit di ito nagsisimulang kumain.

The man sigh, "Eat." Sabi nito, kaya'y nahihiya man ay naglagay ng shrimp, at oisters at kaunting kanin ang dalaga sa kaniya paper plate, tumingin siya sa binata at napansin na tanging ang beefsteak lang at chicken curry ang nilagay nito sa plato, completely avoiding the seafoods.

"Sir bakit di ka kumain ng mga sea foods, source of protein din yan." "I'm alergic." Diretsong sabi nito, making Denice feel bad,"oww" since most of the foods are sea foods which she thought he might like, and there were only two meat options.

Napaisip siya at natandaan niya ang adobo na hinada para sakanya ng kaniyang mama Sanya sa kaniyang bag,  napatayo siya, "Where are you going?" Agad na tanong ng binata, "Wait ka lang dito sir may kukunin lang ako."

Bumalik siya sa opisina ng binata bit bit ang kaniyang bag, she sat on the couch with a big smile at her face, mukhang di pa ginagalaw ng binata ang kaniyang pagkain, she took out her lunch box at binuksan ito, "Tada!! Adobo! I just thought you might like it since rude naman kung ako lang ang lalamon ng karamihan sa lunch mo sir." She said smiling at him.

He just nodded, and took a bit of the adobo on his plate and started eating.

Pagkatapos nilang kumain ay busog na busog si Denice dahil sa dami ng kaniyang kinain, he was about to stop after eating her first portion, but he 'ordered' her to eat more, at dahil di siya busog ay kumain lang siya ng kumain, hangang sa naubos nilang dalawa ang lahat ng pagkain sa mesa.

She burped, at agad niyang tinakpan ang kaniyang labi at namula ang kaniyang pisngi sa hiya, she looked at Raven, also looking at her, he opened his mouth, and she was ready to take his judgement, when a louder burp came out of it, "apologies" he said before looking away ang wiping his lips.

She was shocked, but ended up laughing. He was indeed a man with a big appetite, she finished all of the meat options, and all of the adobo, di niya man sabihin ay alam ng dalaga na nasarapan ito sa adobo, di na din s siya mag rereklamong inubos ng binata ang baon niya dahil halos ang dalaga naman ang umubos sa seafoods.

Niligpit niya ang mga nagkainan nila, she was about to put the paper plates on the bag when, he took it from her arms, napatingin siya sa binata, "sir ako na magliligpit." She said, but he shakes his head, "go back to work."

"Sir di ko naman iiwan tong office mo ng ganito karumi. Akin na po." She ensisted, "go back to work. OR ELSE" he said with all seriousness in his tone, she put her hands on the air, like a criminal caught on act, "all right--" she giggled looking at his serious face.

"Thank you for the meal sir it was delicious." She said before taking her bag and her lunch box before having her way out of his office.

That made her think about something, is he really Bad, or is it just the way he shows his kindness?

Looks like she was right about something, that Raven is more than just a cold and emotionless man, "keep proving me right sir."
