"I don't know, okay? This is the last thing I need," I said. Khloe looked up at me.
"You're going to have to choose, you can say you love Zach all you want but do you mean it?" Khloe asked. I looked at her and shrugged.
"Game time!" Alex yelled. We walked over. I sat down next to Zach. He wrapped his hand around me and looked over at me.
"You good?" He asked. I nodded hesitantly.
"Okay we're playing table topics," Alex said.
"Cassie you can go first," Khloe said grabbing a card. She read it and looked up at me.
"Well what is it?" Zach asked excited.
"Is it possible to love two people at once?" She asked. Fuck me. Zach looked over at me.
"You know what, table topics isn't even a game, so," She said putting the card down and shutting the box. Zach slowly moved his arm.
"Oh look at that, the pizzas done," Khloe said getting up and going to the kitchen.
"Seriously?" Zach asked. I looked up at him.
"What?" I asked.
"You couldn't answer that question?" He asked. I looked at him confused.
"I didn't even get a chance, Khloe put the card down," I said defensively.
"Yeah she was obviously covering for you, I mean I thought we were past this," He said angrily. I scoffed.
"Are you being serious right now?" I asked.
"You couldn't answer the fucking question," he said. I laughed and got up.
"Is this about Reed? Do you still not trust me?" I asked. He opened his mouth and looked away. I scoffed.
"Okay," I said walking off. I pulled out my phone and texted Tina.
"Come get me please, SOS," I texted.
"I'm leaving," I said to Khloe. She hugged me. Alex held Zach back from getting up.
"Cassie," she said looking up at me. I nodded and sighed.
"I know," I said.
"i'll figure it out," I said. Headlights pulled up. I slowly walked out. Zach's voice echoed as he tried to stop me. Shutting the door I walked out. Reed's car. Fuck. I walked to the passenger side and got in.
"Where's Tina?" I asked.
"She's on a call with a college admissions person, she sent me," Reed replied driving off. Of course. I know what she's doing. Rain started pouring slowly.
"Are you okay?" He asked a couple minutes into the drive. I stared at the window holding back tears.
"No," I replied bluntly. After some moments of silence I felt him looking over at me.
"Stop," I said looking at him. Lightning flashed.
"What?" He asked confused.
"Stop it. Stop looking at me like that. Stop caring about me. Stop calling me beautiful, just stop. I just want it all to stop," I said angrily. He slammed on the brakes and put the car in park.
"Reed what the fuck?" I asked.
"You want me to stop? You're the one who started this. You flirted with me, you helped me, you look at me, you care about me," He said angrily as he stared at me. I scoffed and undid my seatbelt.
"I'll walk home," I said getting out. The rain hit my skin as I started walking. I heard a car door shut.
"Cass?!" He yelled. I kept walking. His footsteps trailing behind me.
"You can't ignore it forever," He said following me. I stopped and flipped around.
"Don't do that, don't try to tell me how I feel," I said angrily.
"I'm not telling you anything. I'm just, I can't keep doing this shit with you, you have to come to terms with how you feel at some point," Reed said. Rain poured down my face as my hair fell in front of my eyes. I blinked as the rain drops rolled off my eyelashes. I shook my head.
"Why, what are you doing this to me?" I asked. Reed breathed heavily and looked into my eyes. Stepping closer I shook my head.
"Just tell me, tell me you don't care about me, tell me you don't love me, tell me you hate me, and all of this will be over," he said. I looked up at his eyes. Lightning flashed as his eyes lit up. What do I say? What do I even feel?
