It was around 10 P.M. and everyone had decided to go to their rooms and sleep. When Niki laid down on his bed in his shared room with Jay, he tried to sleep but just couldn't. He missed his family so badly, especially his mom. All he wanted right now was his mom to be here. As he continued to think about his mom, he started crying, which eventually turned into sobs. Jay seemed to not have heard him, since he was still sleeping. He thought about calling his mom, but he didn't want to bother her. So, he just kept on sobbing, and eventually cried himself to sleep.
The next morning, Niki walked downstairs and saw everyone already eating. He walked over and sat down beside Sunoo.
"I made eggs"Jay said, setting a plate down in front of Niki.
Niki gave him a small smile, and stared at his plate. Instead of eating it, he was just pushing it around.
"Niki? You ok?"Jungwon asked.
"I'm not hungry.. I'll be upstairs if you need me"Niki said, standing up.
He walked upstairs and laid down on his bed. After grabbing his stuffed bear, he held it close and cried. He just wanted his mom, but knew that couldn't happen.
After a little while, he heard the bedroom door open, and a hand on his shoulder soon after.
"Niki? What's wrong?"He heard Sunoo ask.
Niki turned around and hugged Sunoo, crying harder this time.
"Hey, hey, it's ok, Hyung is here"Sunoo said, stroking Niki's hair.
"I-I want my mom.."Niki replied, through tears.
After Sunoo got Niki to calm down a little bit, be grabbed Niki's phone and handed it to him. "Call your mom"
Sniffling, Niki clicked on his mom's contact and dialed it.
(Bold is Niki's mom, and regular is Niki)
Phone convo:
"Hello?"
"Mom.."
"Hey baby, you ok?"
"I-I miss you guys, especially you...."
"Hey, please don't cry. You're breaking my heart. I miss you too baby"
"I just want you here.."
"I know baby, I'm sorry.."
Sunoo gestered for Niki to hand him the phone, so Niki did.
"Hi Niki's mom, this is Sunoo"
"Hello Sunoo. Do you think my baby will be ok?"
"I'm not sure..He really misses you..If he isn't any better in a few days, I'm going to fly to Japan with him to see you.. It breaks my heart seeing him like this too"
"Will the company allow it though?"
"Either way, they'll have to accept it. I'm not letting my little brother get any worse"
"Oh ok, thank you Sunoo"
"You're welcome. I'll have him call you back soon"
"Ok, thank you again, bye Sunoo"
"You're welcome, bye"
Sunoo hung up the call, and Niki snuggled up to him, still crying.
"You really do miss your mom, huh?..."Sunoo said.
All Niki could do was nod. He couldn't speak through his tears.
After taking one look at Niki, Sunoo knew what he had to do. "Niki, I'm going to take you home, ok?"
"But-"Niki started, but Sunoo wouldn't let him finish.
"I don't want to hear anything, ok? You need to see your family, especially your mom"Sunoo said.
Niki had no choice but to accept it. "Ok.."
The next morning, Sunoo made sure Niki was all ready. "You got everything?"
"Yes hyung"Niki said.
"Let's get going then"Sunoo replied, with a smile.
Jay drove them to the airport and said goodbye, and then left.
Sunoo and Niki found their gate, and got on the plane.
About two hours later, the plane landed and the two boys rushed off it. Soon enough they spotted who they were looking for: Niki's mom, dad, and sisters. Niki ran to his mom and immediately hugged her, crying.
"Hey, hey, it's ok, mom's here, no need to cry"His mom said.
After a few minutes, Sunoo walked up to him and laid a hand on his shoulder. "Get some rest, ok? I'll see you later"
"Wait, where are you going?"Niki's dad asked.
"A hotel"Sunoo said.
Niki's dad chuckled. "Nonsense, you'll be staying with us!"
On the way home, Niki couldn't help but smile. He was happy to see his family, and it was all thanks to his Sunoo hyung.
