Back to School Dance

The gym buzzed with energy as teenagers, dressed in semiformal attire, moved to the beat. The air was filled with laughter, and the dance floor showcased an array of dance styles. The flicker of colorful lights illuminated the excitement in the room, creating a vibrant atmosphere for a memorable back-to-school dance.

The crowd hushed as the two giant curtains unveiled a grinning figure - Jayson Blossom,

"Well, it's not the met ball." Veronica whispered,

Veronica, accompanied by Archie and Betty, formed a trio that radiated a sense of camaraderie on the dance floor. Their presence added to the collective memories being created, as they navigated the evening together,

"Hey, when do you have to let Coach Clayton - Know about football." Betty asked as her hands wrapped around archie's left arm.

"This weekend" Archie respond without looking at her, as he scanned the place down. The place was packed with students from freshmens to seniors they're all scattered around the place.

"Guys, can't we just liberate ourselves from the tired dichotomy of jock/artist? Can't we in this post james franco world, be all things at once?" Veronica smiled as she unhooked herself from archie,

"And speaking of james, where is he? Isn't he coming? Veronica asked, trying to figure out if james is already at the place or not

"I'm right here, blue jasmine." James, said with playful tone and a grin on his face, As he appeared on Veronica's back.

Veronica looked back at him, as she scanned how well dressed he is.

"Well, hello there, Mr. James Dean. We're getting punch." She stated as she dragged him along, before whispering to Betty "you got this."

James on the other hand, let her dragged him to where the fruit punch is.

"Damn, you've got strong grip" James says as he looked up, to see Moose and Reggie standing near the punch grinning,

Veronica reach for a cup, James immedietly stopped her

"Maybe, no." James said. Veronica, with confused look on her face looked up, to see the two standing there, she understood why James had stop her.

"So, how was your football tryout?" Veronica asked James, trying to engage in a conversation with him

"It went well, i secured a spot on the team, i'll be playing along side with archie this season. How's your's and Betty went? Am i gonna see you guys in pompoms at the field?" James asked playfully

"Well, Mr. Matthews, as you and archie made it to the football team, Betty and i will be your main cheerleaders in every game" Veronica says with a playful tone pausing in her sentence,

"As for Cheryl, she had to be bitch first before letting Betty in as well, now i understand why you two keep fighting." Both chuckled, but before James could even respond. A sudden voice spoke out, there appeared on the stage the red head they were just talking about. Getting everyones attention.

"Good evening, friends. Are you all having a good time? The crowd answers with shouts, as they were really enjoying the night, she continued with a smile.

"As honorary chairperson and de facto of tonight's semiformal, it is my great pleasure to introduce this evening's main entertainment. To know them is to be obsessed with them. Though they usually perform their own material, tonight they're making an exception and debuting a cover of the song my parents claim they were listening to the night jayson and i are conceived. This one's for you, jj." Cheryl finished as she started walking down the stage.
