"Chapter thirteen"

Quietly in the morning Avril was making some breakfast for himself till he heard a "TUDD" from the direction of the couch. He floated towards the couch and saw Hoshi on the floor groaning. "Good morning kiddo" Avril smiled and sat down on the couch. "Good morning.. I have to be there at 6:30 p.m. right?" Hoshi groaned and stood up. Avril nodded, he quickly went back and finished his breakfast. "Are you hungry?" Avril asked waiting for Hoshi's answer. All he got was a simple shaking head. "I think we need to pay a visit to the grocery store soon." Hoshi looked into the fridge. "If you say so." Avril started eating at the table. Hoshi walked into th bathroom and started getting ready. He put on a simple outfit, a bit of deodorant, perfume and he brushed his hair aswell. He looked at the suit he picked out with Avril yesterday was going to be for tonight which made Hoshi quite nervous on how it will go. He and Ryo never interacted that much at all, Ryo mostly used to hang out with Kitsune and Avril. Hoshi quickly walking out of the room, not wanting to overthink too much.
Timeskip..
18:00 before changing
Hoshi changed out of his regular clothes and put on the suit. "Nervous?" Avril giggled a bit. Hoshi nodded as he fixed his hair. "How so? All you need to do is go there, eat and apologise." Avril sat in the air and put his arms behind his head. "Yeah but I know nothing about this guy- well other than he has a horrible relationship with his father, that he was friends with you and Kitsune.." Hoshi sighed and fixed his tie. "Wait hold on I'll be right back.." Avril said as he sprinted out of the room. Avril jumped through the window, ran to a suit shop, stole a suit in Ryo's size, took the paper off, floated to Ryo's house, grabbed a vase, hit Ryo's dad head, watched him faint and quickly floated into Ryo's room. "RYO WAKE UP" Avril yelled and Ryo fell out of the bed. "WAH-" Ryo woke up as his body hit the floor. "Avril?-" He looked up. "That is the fastest I've ran eversince my execution." Avril panted. "So young man chop chop, go take a shower, do your hair and put this suit on before you run late." Avril said and helped Ryo to get up. "It's not that late" Ryo said and looked outside of the room to see his dad on the floor. "Avril what did you do to my dad?" Ryo looked at back at Avril. "Don't worry he's fineeeee" Avril shoved Ryo into thr bathroom and gave him Hoshi's shampoo because he ain't going to find a better one in time. Avril waited outside while Ryo showered. In the meanwhile Hoshi was searching for Avril in his own house.
After shower Ryo immediately dressed up, did his hair and walked out of the bathroom. "Finally!" Avril put his hands on his hips "How do I even get there?" Ryo asked as he put his shoes on. "Take this deodorant." Avril gives Ryo a deodorant and Ryo uses it confused. "Wanna relieve my execution?" Ryo looked at Avril concerned "Wonderful, I'll give you ten seconds of time to run away.. 10-" Avril smiled and Ryo immediately ran out of the house and starts running towards the restaurant.
After 5 minutes Ryo arrived at the restaurant, he was panting and was waiting for Avril. "Good job! You made it!" Avril appeared behind Ryo which made Ryo jump out of his skin. "While you were running I managed to get the little star" Avril said and grabbed for Hoshi's arm and pulled him into Ryo's view. "Hi" Hoshi smiled a bit and waved shyly. There was an awkward silence for a second. "Ryo say hi, hello or something back. Don't be disrespectful." Avril said and let go of Hoshi's arm. "uh- hi-" Ryo said a bit nervous because he was still kinda mad at Hoshi from last time. "Wonderful! Have fun you two" Avril started floating away. "wait where are you going?" Ryo yelled after Avril. "I'll go and hang out with the love of my life!" Before Ryo or Hoshi tried saying something to that statement of Avril's but he already disappeared. After a couple seconds Hoshi looks back at Ryo and they just stand there awkwardly. ".. let's just head in." Hoshi said and opened the door for Ryo to get in. Ryo walked in quietly and Hoshi walked after him, after a bit of waiting they were seated. They got the menu. After looking at the pages inside it, Ryo was a bit confused. "How do you rich people choose one of these food with these fancy names?" Ryo asked. "There is a food description under it and uhh I don't know we just do, also we don't usually come to these fancy places" Hoshi answered while still looking at the drinks menu. "I think I'll have a cherry soda" He said. "Reminds me of the times where you almost died because of choking on them" Ryo said, finally flipping to the drinks menu. Hoshi after hearing that looked at Ryo with a 'the hell did you just say to me' look but in a way that made Ryo start laughing. "Why are you wheeze looking at me like that-" Ryo slammed his hand against the table, which caused him to laugh a bit louder. After a couple seconds he stopped and sat up straight. "Can I call the waiter or waitress now?" Hoshi asked and sighed. "Yeah sure" Ryo replied.
They ordered their drinks and Ryo after a lot of thinking managed to order his food.
Hoshi was holding his thighs tightly because he was nervous as hell now and Ryo noticed it. "Are you okay? You look rather nervous.." The ultimate novelist looked at Hoshi concerned. "Oh me? Yeah I'm fine- it's just I'm not used to seeing you next to me like this" Hoshi chuckled. "But you were laying next to me the other day, I don't see that much of a difference" Ryo looked at Hoshi confused. "But that's different you weren't dressed up and smelled this nice-" Hoshi was about to continue but was cut mid sentence. "Am I stinky on every other day?" Ryo raised one of his eye brow. Hoshi started chuckling "No- that is not what I mean pfft"
Avril quickly moved the plant away to take a quick look at them. "They seem fine for now" Avril whispered and hid behind the plant again.
"So how's living with him?" Ryo asked. "Mhm? Oh- it's fine it's just that he often just acts uh.. odd-" Hoshi said nervously, trying not to upset Ryo, let alone Avril who he noticed was there. "Does he punch your walls?" Ryo chuckled a bit while asking. "I'm not sure, probably, but when I'm not watching." Hoshi said and they finally got their drinks. "Are you still living with your dad?" Hoshi started drinking his drink after asking. "Yeah I do. But he is probably still sleeping after Avril hit his head with something.
A bit later..
After Hoshi payed for the food, drinks and dessert, he stood up and walked out to the balcony to get some fresh air. Ryo didn't know what to do and just followed him. It was a bit cold outside due to the wind. Hoshi's brown hair was gently brushed by the wind. Ryo decided to just stand next to Hoshi and just look at the sky like he is. A couple seconds later Hoshi sighed deeply and then looked away from Ryo a bit more. "I'm sorry for what I did the last time we "hang out", it was really stupid and childish of me.." Hoshi blinked a couple times before looking at Ryo. They made a bit of eye contact before Ryo could reply. "I'm sorry for blaming your for your sister's doings.. I shouldn't have done it." Ryo said and tried not to break the eye contact. "It's fine" Hoshi smiled gently which made Ryo smile back a bit. "So do you need a ride home? You live pretty far away." Hoshi offered. Ryo nodded. "Please- I don't wanna run again-" Ryo grabbed onto Hoshi's shoulders. "Wait- hold on- YOU RAN HERE?!" Hoshi's eyes widen.
Avril floated behind them "Sorry to disturb the moment but we should get home because I'm starving.." Avril said pretty embarrassed. "But don't worry I can drive you two home-" Avril's sentence was cut in half by Hoshi. "Absolutely not. I'll drive, Ryo can sit next to me and Avril you'll be sitting in the back." Hoshi said and pulled both of them by the arm. He sat in the car, turned it on, waited till both of them sat in. "Sorry Ryo you're staying over because it's too late to go home now." Hoshi said as he drove them home. "Fine by me" Ryo sighed.
