JHUMKE gazed with lightness creating their own soft morning

whisper as I walk down the steps of our two story peaceful home

wearing my favorite blue anarkali suit.

"Good morning, Aunt." I greet my Aunt as I reach the kitchen

where she is preparing Aloo Paratha for our breakfast.

"Good Morning, Nainu." Aunt says patting my cheeks.

"You want my help?" I ask even though I can see the work

was almost done. "It's almost done. Go call your uncle and

everyone."

"Ok."

My Uncle enters the kitchen at the same moment asking,

"What's in breakfast today?"

Aunt and I laugh as our eyes met.

"What is it?"

"Na Nothing, I'll serve breakfast."

"Ok." My uncle seems confused.

Cute!

We always eat together whenever we could. My guardian, my

uncle is the DCP of the town which made his disappearance at

most of our dinners more frequent and normal occurrence.

He is a good man and I am always proud of him. Pale white

skin, sharp beautiful eyes, full lips girls die for, a nose cute and a

contrast of black and greying hair.

Quite in contrast to his wife's features where she had a shade

of light chocolate skin, brownish hair, small beautiful soft eyes

and lips, enchanted with every married women ornaments such

as nose ring, Gold ear rings, Mangalsutra, bangles, and sindoor.

I look around the table, Uncle and Bhai were talking about a

recent case, while Aunt had a constant smile on her face, and

Anvi listening to whatever Bhai and Uncle were talking about.

And Rahul Bhai as usual is teasing me.

Our family is short and perfect! Not like a typical family from

some Indian drama, or what many Asian and Asian Wattpad

authors describe them to be.

My Aunt and Uncle have always taken care of us which didn't

even flatter as my parents died. Always being our perfect

guardians.

I was too young to remember details of my parents before

they met an accident. The only thing I possessed of them was

the bracelet they had their love mark on, which I lost months

ago, proving how irresponsible and bad of a daughter I am.

"We are going, be fast Bhai, Anvi come we'll drop you."

"Two minutes." Anvi replied.

"Coming," Rahul Bhai says, stuffing the bite of aloo Paratha.
