"OMG OMI, YOUR OUTFIT IS SO CUTE!!" Kym said as she opened the the door, letting Naomi into her house. She held out her hand, Naomi taking it and letting Kym spin her around. "I wish I was as gorgeous as you." "Don't say that! You're literally my twin, we're equally pretty!"
"I was thinking we could invite Lydia." Megan spoke up after a while in silence. "Is that really a good idea? I'm fine with Lydia coming but she's probably with Stacy right now and Stacy is kinda annoying." Kym giggled and threw a press on nail at Naomi. "You think she's annoying cause she wants your man?" Naomi mugged Kym and rolled her eyes, muttering a 'Yes' that only Kym heard. "It's your house though, so its your decision." Megan shrugged, bringing up the previous conversation. "Uh.. yea, I'll ask her."
AROUND 10 MINUTES LATER, Stacy and Lydia were sitting across from the group of girls.
"So, Lydia, any crushes?" Megan asked the girl. "Oh- uh.. No, not really. There's not a lot of options for boys in our grade, you know?" Anya twirled a piece of Naomi's hair and joined the conversation, "Oh, so you only like boys?" "Uh.. I think so." "Don't worry, some of us are straight too." Kym joined, looking at Naomi who rolled her eyes. "I don't disagree!" Stacy piped up.
It was silent for a few seconds until Naomi started the conversation again. "Yea, Stacy. What about you? Who do you like?" Naomi asked, slightly leaning forward. "Uh, no one really.." This made Naomi frown because everyone knew Stacy had a fat crush on Andy.
"Uh, people are coming to my house tomorrow if you wanna come- nothing big." Kym nodded and looked at the girls surrounding her for their approval, "Sounds chill." She responded. "You guys have to come, it'll be fricking amazing! Her house is so cool!" Stacy but in, making the room go silent again. "I mean, It'll be aight.." Naomi slowly nodded her head and stood up, clearing her throat
"Anyways.. we should wash this off before we go. Uh, we have to change before we leave." She said, beckoning to the other girls. "Where are we going?" Stacy asked. "..To the ledge." Megan said in a 'duh' tone, slightly rolling her eyes.
Naomi stayed behind a bit to eavesdrop on Stacy and Lydias conversation. "Andy'll be there!" She told the duo, which seemed to be enough to convince Stacy.
"ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE THE LAST TIME IVE BEEN HERE!" Naomi exclaimed, doing a spin to get a good look at her surroundings. "We haven't been here since like, 6th grade!" Kym giggled, turning around when she heard tires in the distance. "Look who's here!" Anya looked at Naomi before looking at the boys arriving at the ledge.
Naomi found her gaze shifting from the boys over to Stacy and Lydia, watching them look at something- or someone. Naomi followed Stacys gaze and saw her looking at Andy, who was already looking at Naomi.
"Hey guys, Hey Naomi." Andy said as he approached the duo, putting his arm around Naomi. "Hey Andy," The girl responded, pulling out her phone and going through instagram.
A lot of the topics that flew around for the next 5 minutes or so were pretty boring to Naomi until she heard Aaron dared anyone to jump in the ledge. "Jump off the ledge, Aaron? You'll break both your legs on impact and your spine!" Mateo stated, walking forward to look at how high up the ledge was. "Yea, I heard Melissa Quinto's cousin jumped, and now she has to text with her nose so.. no thank you." Kym agreed, making Naomi come out of Andys grasp and walk towards the ledge.
"Its not that high- I'll do it." She said, taking off her shoes. "You'd jump? Thats.. Thats sick!" Andy encouraged the girl, surprised when she handed him her shoes. "Why are you taking off your shoes.." He muttered, letting Naomi hand him anything else she didn't want wet. "I'm not getting my 550s wet, are you insane?" Naomi giggled, slightly backing up a bit.
Some people who were standing near the front of the ledge cleared the way for Naomi so she had a clear jumping path. The girl let out a deep breath before she ran forward, jumping off the ledge.
It was atleast a 4 second fall: Naomi thought people honestly overhyped how dangerous it was. "Yo, Naomi Baker! You're a frickin legend!" Andy yelled down to the girl as some of her other friends cheered for her. "Hell yea, I am!" She yelled back, staying in the water for a few seconds before swimming to the shallow part of the water and getting out.
Naomi's friends ran down to go meet the girl. "That was so cool!" Kym hyped up the girl, jumping up and down with her. "Uhm.. Hell yea it was!" Naomi responded, smiling.
Andy followed the girls down to meet with Naomi. He made eye contact with her for a few seconds before looking down at the girls shirt. "Your uh.. Your shirt is kinda-" He stuttered, rubbing the back of his neck and looking away. "Hm? Oh!" Naomi looked down and saw her shirt had gone see-through from being in the water for so long. "Thats funny, it never does that." She chuckled, ignoring her shirt and wringing out her hair. "Here, take my hoodie." Andy said, taking off the dark blue zip up he had on.
Naomi furrowed her eyebrows and titled her head, "Are you sure?" Andy nodded and handed it to her along with her shoes and phone. "Yea, it's fine, you can give it back to me later." Naomi put the hoodie on, zipping it up. "Thanks. Hey- are you going to Lydias party?" She asked the boy who nodded his head. "Yea, are you?" "Yea, I'll see you later," She said, hugging Andy before going to hang out with her main friend group.
