Leo is in the engine room on the argo II, tinkering with something. It's really nothing in particular, but he wants to take his mind off of everything. Off of his emotions and feelings, off of the big quest and fate of the world, and the fact that either he or the amazing son of jupiter, Jason Grace, might have to die. He would die for Jason in a heartbeat, of course. Honestly, he would just die anyways. But this is what he didn't want to think about.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid..." Leo mumbles under his breath.
He twists a wrench, but he must have twisted it with too much force, because the nut popped off.
" So stupid... ... pesado.." Leo mutters
Leo doesn't see Jason grace entering the room and walking behind him.
" Hey man whatcha workin on?" Jason says smiling
"Nothing" Leo mutters.
It's a lie. Of course. Leo's working on stuff because if he stops, he'll have to think about the quest, and Jason and Nico and the whole thing. All of the horrible, terrifying stuff that lies ahead of them.
"Just I dunno." Leo says putting his head down.
Jason looks concerned for his friend.
"Hey are you ok man?" Jason asks the sad looking Leo.
Leo looks down sadly.
"...not really." Leo says after a couple moments of silent contemplation, his breath is shaky.
Jason gets really concerned now after hearing that Leo is not feeling ok.
"What's wrong?" Jason asks not knowing how to comfort his sad friend.
"A lot." Leo replies with a slight frown, looking away from Jason, before forcing a smile.
"I-I'm just really worried about the quest and things, you know? Everything with Nico and stuff...and the... and just Jason. I dunno. I'm just..." Leo says shrugging.
Jason looks at Leo and can see that the curly brown haired boy looks like he needs sleep. Or a hug. Or both. Probably both.
