After that coffee incident, Jennie can't stop thinking about Jisoo. She feels weird because she never felt this way about a girl. But whenever she thinks about her, she can't help but smile.
"Goo-yung, how was school? Did you make some friends in school? "Jennnie asked her son, who is 6 years old now.
"I am not okay, mom; my nose bleeds while I'm playing with my schoolmates," he sadly said.
"What??? Did they hurt you because you didn't tell me immediately about this? My gosh, are you feeling okay now? "She worriedly asked.
"I feel tired, Mom. No one hurt; it just suddenly happened." And she went to his room.
Jennie is so worried and discussed this with her mom.
"I am worried, mom. Maybe I should get him to the doctor." While wiping the plates with the towel.
"You should. He is your only son. It is better to know if this is something serious or not, and don't worry about the bill. I sold some of my harvest, and your Unnie Irene gave me some money. Bring him first to the hospital," Jennie's mom commands.
In the morning, she hurriedly prepared goo-yung because they would get there for the checkup. She told her manager that she would go on a half day because she had an emergency.
Goo-yung was tested, and they are waiting for the results.
"Hello, Ms. Kim, can I talk to you in private? "The doctor said
"Yes, doctor, Goo-yung, please stay here okay; I'll just talk to the doctor." Goo-yung just nodded.
The doctor brought Jennie to her office to discuss her son's condition.
"I wanted to be honest with you; your son has some symptoms of lymphoma, or what we called leukemia." We are not sure about it yet, so I advised that we run some other tests. He has some red spots on his body. His white blood cells are also high. After some tests, we can determine whether it is leukemia or not."
"What??? Why, I mean, he looks healthy before we make sure he eats healthy foods," Jennie worriedly explained to the doctor.
"Again, we are not sure yet; that's why we will run more tests. This is also not connected with the food he eats. It can be because of viruses or a certain blood disorder. Let's just pray that he is not, and we will do our best for your son. But what you can do is be strong for him. He needs you now more than ever."
Jennie closes the door, and she can't help but just cry. Her son is very young to have this illness. But she remembers what the doctor said—that she needs to be strong for his son. Another problem is that the tests are expensive, and she is sure that she cannot afford them. She will find a way, whatever it takes, for her son to live.
Jisoo POV
While in the office, Jisoo's team was celebrating another success, and she closed another big deal for their company.
"Everyone, let's eat okay; all of us work hard for this; you deserve all of this."
Lisa visited Jisoo to congratulate her.
"Hey, Unnie, congratulations! This is a really big deal that you closed, for sure. Papa GD is so proud of you. So let's celebrate it tonight. Seulgi told me there is a new pub near here, and there are beautiful girls here," while winking to Jisoo.
"You know what? Let's do that." She excitedly agreed.
After the office, they meet up at the pub.
They ordered the most expensive tequila in 1942.
