Neuvillette's POV

Wriothesley showed up with lunch around one, carrying a basket in one hand, and a bottle of Sumerian water in the other.

My husband is truly the best.

"How has your day been, my love? Any trouble with the little one?" He smiled as he placed a small kiss on my lips.

He didn't wait for an answer before picking up Sania.

"Did you cause your dad any trouble, little one?"

He gave her a small kiss as well, causing Sania to giggle happily.

Oh, how wonderful this sight is.

It fills me with the same warm feeling as when he is playing with the melusines.

I really am blessed to have such a mate.

"She caused no trouble at all. She was actually asleep till an hour or so ago." I returned his smile.

"Oh, really? You little brat. Can't you sleep at night?"

He poked her nose playfully, only to earn another little laugh.

At least he looks less tired.

"How was your day? You seem awfully cheerful." I pointed out.

 He really did.

It was as if a ray of sunshine had walked into my office.

How could anyone ever call him frightening?

"I got a package this morning."

 "A- A package?"

I was suddenly reminded of the plushie Sania ever so conveniently tossed out of sight a bit before Wriothesley arrived, keeping it out of his sight.

 But surely not.

 I must be overthinking things.

 "It was from Nina."

 Damn it.

 I was not overthinking anything.

"From Nina, you say... What did she send you?"

Please don't tell me she told you about the plushie.

Please don't tell me she told you about the plushie.

Please don't tell me she told you about the plushie.

"It was the clothes we picked out yesterday."

 "Oh, thank Teyvat."

 "What?"

"No, nothing." I waved it off quickly.

  No mention of the plushie.

 I'm glad.

It would be most embarrassing if Madame Colette decided to describe my less-than-for-my-position-appropriate reaction to it.

"Oh, and I found a note." He continued.

 "A- A note?"

 Damn it!

Was I too quick to be relieved?

"It said they would charge you for them later."

 "Ah... That's alright."

 Phew!

If he does that another time I might become the first Sovereign to die of a heart attack.

 That would be most shameful.
