Scarlett, Kira, Zain, and Akio were all together as they had just finished with their training, now having a small break as they sat by wood crackling and blazing keeping the group warm. Kira then got up and she made up an excuse to leave. "Haha, Alright you losers I'm going to go shower off this sweat."

Scarlett paused as she looked at her. "You didn't move around that much to be sweating a lot... You look sick." Kira froze, clearing her throat. "Well duh, that's because... um... I sweat easily!" She crossed her arms. Zain rolled their eyes as Akio chuckled softly. "Go ahead, we will be right here for you." Kira paused as she looked at Akio... 'That voice... those words are so familiar.' She thought as she shook the thought out of her head before walking off.

Zain watched as Kira left before speaking up "We have to leave her behind." Scarlett looked at Zain a bit nervous. "What do you mean??" She said as she stood up defensively. "Do I need to say it again?"

Zain said as they rolled their eyes before standing up. "She's done nothing but held us back and almost gotten us all killed." They said before Akio looked at Zain's behavior also standing up and wanting to defend her friend. "Kira had no intention of either of those situations."

"It was beyond her control," Akio said as his legs trembled a bit nervously. "Therefore, Kira shouldn't be responsible for what happened." Zain paused as they looked at their partner before they shook their heads and glared back at the two. "I don't care anymore"

" I have given you both patience and bit my tongue. Now you listen to me." They said sternly this both shocked Scarlett and Akio as they simply looked at each other. Zain sighed as they had the same glare on their faces.

"Tomorrow, we will wake up early and break the deal with Kira," Zain said as thousands of thoughts ran through Scarlett's head. "How would I break off the deal...?" Zain knew everything so they calmly explained more.

"Kira is a deal demon, Deal demons can make deals with just about anyone... Demon, Human, Angel, Succubus, Ghost... But the dealer and break it just by removing a horn of the deal demon." Scarlett's lip curled into a frown and nervousness grew intense as she gripped at her tail.

"You are not saying that I would have to..." Zain nodded as they reached into their travel bag and pulled out a golden dagger, it was white with fancy golden trim and lacing and they presented it to Scarlett. "You must... For the sake of home Naje... And our people."

They said as they took Scarlett's trembling hand placing the dagger into Her's. "While she sleeps or is distracted enough. Then you do it." Zain said whispering into her ear. Scarlett looked at the dagger in her hands before glancing at Zain and nodding slowly. "Ok... I'll do it." The trio looked at each other as night rolled around.

Kira was alone cleaning up her infected wound. "Fucken Yuta..." She growled as she stung it with some medicine... That only made it worse as now the simple scar became a huge rash on her side. Kira jumped up as she heard someone come over as she rushed to hide her equipment. "Ah! Chicken feathers." She chuckled as she saw Scarlett come into view. "What do you want?"

Scarlett came closer sitting next to Kira handing her some food. "Here... We did this earlier, and you weren't there." Scarlett smiled softly as Kira tilted her head not minding one bit before she took a bite. "Umm... Yeah." Kira and Scarlett both sat in silence as Scarlett spoke up. "I'm sorry Kira!" Scarlett said in tears as she wrapped her arms around Kira, "Hey! watch it! Why are you like this?" She scoffed pushing Scarlett back as she sniffled wiping her face.

"It's just you didn't know anything about my situation, and I just dragged you into my problem! Now you are stuck in this stupid mix of wars and... and.." Kira couldn't help but pity the girl as she sighed, placing her hand on Scarlett's. "And I'm with you..." Kira rolled her eyes looking away from Scarlett. "And I plan to stick with you." Scarlett smiled once more before frowning.

"I understand... Kira, I need to tell you that I think." Scarlett choked back her tears. Kira caught her reaction, as her cheeks turned a slight red. "I think you should get some sleep..." Kira tilted her head not expecting that response before shrugging it off once more. "Yeah. I do feel tired anyway." Kira then placed the plate on the ground before going into the tent as she went to bed... not knowing about the dangers that awaited.

Soon Kira was fast asleep Akio was packing up early as Zain told him to, and for Scarlett was fidgeting around as she held the dagger in her hand before Zain gave her the signal. "We will be ahead of you... But make it quick" Zain said before placing their bag on their shoulders and expanding their golden wings taking off into the night sky. Akio and Scarlett watched Zain before Akio softly placed his hand on Scarlett's shoulder.

"Don't worry, Once the war is over, we will be happier." Scarlett nodded as Akio took flight following Zain's pattern with his white wings. Scarlett looked back at the half-opened tent where she saw Kira's resting body. Scarlett gripped her weapon as her breath hitched. Anxiety grew as she saw Kira toss softly in her sleep. "God..." Scarlett whispered before she softly pushed Kira's hair away from her large black horns. As she raised her finger over Kira's forehead whispering a spell that way, she wouldn't feel the pain. Scarlett soon brought the dagger to Kira's horn as a crunch could be heard and the sound of blood pouring.

Scarlett had finished with the demon's horns in her hand as she got up taking flight. "You did the right thing..." Akio said snapping Scarlett out of her unpleasant thoughts as she nodded in response to Akio. "A right thing..."
