"Heyyy bestie you ready for school? I'm outside waiting on you." Mani said through the FaceTime call with Emily.
"Yeah give me two seconds and I'll be outside. Can we stop at Starbucks since you're on time today?" Emily said.
"Yes girl, but come on you know they be busy." With that Armani hung up and waited a few minutes longer on her best friend.
The girls made it to Starbucks and quickly ordered their drinks.
As they were waiting, Emily spots Brian across the room and he looks up at the girls.
Mani finally sees the eye contact between Em and Brian and rolls her eyes.
"Where are our drinks? I'm ready to go!" Mani said very irritated.
"You know what, I'll just wait in the car. This coffee smell is giving me a headache."
Mani was walking towards her car when she heard a familiar voice call after her.
"What do you want Brian? I really don't have time for this."
"Hey I just wanted to formally apologize for what I did. I know it's been some time since we talked, but I truly am sorry for putting you through hell like that. It wasn't right and I honestly don't know what I was thinking." Brian said in a very caring manor.
"Yeah well that's the thing you weren't thinking. I don't care how many times you apologize or get on your knees begging for my forgiveness, it's not happening."
Armani scoffed and rolled her eyes as Brian began to talk more.
"Blah blah blah. Brian I don't care. When are you going to realize that? YOU cheated on me. YOU accussed ME of stepping out when I never did. YOU got a bitch pregnant and to think I was going to let you take my virginity. Please just leave me alone." Armani replied in almost tears.
Emily finally had their drinks and rushed over to the car as she saw Brian talking to Mani."Brian I think you should leave. I dont know even know why you are here in the first place. Go bother that hoe of yours and leave her alone." Emily said, giving him a death glare.
Brian walked away to his car with his head down and the girls made their way to school.
As the day went on, Em checked on Mani periodically and each time Mani would only reply with "yeah I'm cool", even though Em knew she wasn't.
During lunch Trey came around and airdropped the flyer to his party that's happening this weekend.
"Hey my favorite ladies" Trey said as he and Malachi walked up to Em and Mani.
"Here's the flyer for my party on Saturday. I hope to see yall there shaking them fat asses." Trey said as he looked the girls up and down licking his lips.
"We'll see what we can do." said Emily as she rolled her eyes in a playful manner.
Trey and Emily had known each other since middle school and they definitely liked each other but never acted on anything. Trey knew how he felt about Emily, but was almost at the point of wanting to give up on them dating as every time he tried to make a move on Emily, she would dismiss him.
Trey wasn't the player type but some of his friends were and Emily really decided to push further away from him when he became cool with Malachi, the biggest hoe in the entire school. The lunch bell rang signaling for everyone to go back to class.
It was not sixth period and the girls had nothing to do during this period or during their seventh period so they usually went to the front office or copy room to help out there. As the girls were on their way to the front office, they ran into Brian.
"Hey ladies. Nice to see yall again, especially you Armani."
"Brian please leave us alone. Don't you have a girl or some to go talk to?" Armani said as she rolled her eyes walking away from him. Just before she was out of his reach, Brian grabbed her arm to get her attention.
"Look I just wanna talk to you about what happened. I'm truly sorry about what happened and I want to make it up to you." Brian pleaded and he seemed really genuine about it, but Armani wasn't sure.
"Come on Mani we gotta go." Emily said she was trying to get Armani to stop talking to him.
"If you still have my number, text me and maybe we can talk about what happened. Heavy on the maybe." Armani said as she walked off to the front office. At this moment, Brian felt like he could really have a chance at getting back with the love of his life, but he knew that what he did could never be forgiven. Trying to get that forgiveness from Armani would definitely take some work and she was going to make him work for it for sure.
