A Mysterious Adventure

At the cafeteria

Ashley and her friends, Chelsea her (best friend), and ella joined Ariana, Akeelah and Alice at the cafeteria and sat down with them at the same table.

     "Hey sis, how are you doing?" Ashley asked Ariana.
  
     "Well, as you can see am doing great" Ariana said sarcastically

     "Are you mad at me?" Ashley asked, although Ariana wasn't angry at her she just decided to act like she was.

   "Ariana!" Ashley called her

   " Oh, right, um Ashy (Ashley's nickname) am not mad at you okay, how can I be mad at you, it's just like being mad at myself"

   "Well obviously I knew you wouldn't be mad at me, cause duh it's me you other half"

   " Ha ridiculous"

   "Hey girls, chill okay, oh Ashy I got some news for you" Akeelah said sounding so excited
 
    " What is it Akeelah?" Ashy asked

    "You wouldn't believe what happened today" she said squealing " Antonio called me a beauty, OMG can you imagine"

    "What!! Is he blind or something" Ashy said surprised.

    "Pardon, what do you mean?" Akeelah asked confused

     "Of all the pretty girls including me of course, Antonio saw no one but you!" Ashy said pointing at Akeelah and also raising her left eyebrow.

    "Ha-ha-ha, Ashy very funny, are you trying to say you don't believe me"

    " Oh don't say that, obviously I don't believe you" Ashy said acting like the drama queen she is.

     " Well A.J (Ariana Justin) was with me"

     " Is that true sis" They all turned to face A.J.
  
     " Well... Yeah it's true"

     " See I told ya" Akeelah said excitedly

     " Humph, still don't believe you girls" While the two were blabbering about Antonio, Ariana felt someone watching her, this time she did not turn to check who it was rather she said ' This creep seems to be jobless, spying on me without even facing me, how pathetic' then she heard the same voice that spoke at the basketball court ' oh really' Just a glance at Ariana one would see she was getting pissed off, she was about to throw a tantrum when the door to the cafeteria suddenly flung open and Lo and Behold Antonio walked in with his gangs towring behind, be walked to where Ariana and the others were sitted , and like the other boys Ariana felt disgusted. He walked towards their table and placed his hands in front of Akeelah.

     " Hey beauty, I've been eager to talk to you after the game but guess you did not stay for long" He said with a smirk.

     "Umm, if I may ask why were you looking for me.

     " Well i wanted to ask you on a date" He said smirking.

    " What!! Me on a date with you?" Akeelah asked shocked.

   " Yeah, I hope you don't mind?" He asked

    " No, I don't, Where and what time?"

    " Chris cafe, meet me there at 5pm tonight" He said before winking at Akeelah and left.

     " I don't know Akeelah, I don't think you should go" Ashy said

    " And why won't I go?"

    " Cause I don't trust him, I mean come to think of it, he has never approached you before so why today" Ashy said

    " Well I trust him, cause just a minute ago you were telling me that am ugly and Antonio must be blind, so why would I trust you now?"

   " Um... Akeelah I think I would go with Ashy" Chelsea chirped in

   " Yeah, me too" Ella also agreed

   "Tell her A.J, tell  her not to go" Alice said

   " You know Akeelah, am not saying this because Ashy is my sister but am saying it because it's kinda true, like we have been studying here since middle school, and Antonio has never, i mean never said hi to you, so why now, I think you should not go" Yeesh Ariana almost sounded like her mom.

    " I think five of you are jealous of me, and let me tell you something, am going to meet Antonio by 5pm and there is nothing you guys are gonna do about it" She said before storming out of the cafeteria angrily.

   " I suggest we keep an eye on her" Chelsea said

   "Yeah I think so too" Ella agreed

   " Okay then, let's meet at Chris cafe 4:30 pm" Ariana suggested

   " Sure thing" they agreed

Akeelah was walking back to class angrily based on what her friends said, she was contemplating if they were right or not, suddenly she bumped into a hard chest.

   " Shit am so sorry" She said rubbing her forehead without looking up.

   " It's no biggie" The guy said, with that Akeelah looked up to meet a pair of hazel eyes.

   " Oh sorry Antonio did not see you there"

   " Yeah no problem, if I may ask what's wrong with you?" Antonio asked
   " Can we talk for a while?" Akeelah asked

   " Sure why not" they walked towards a swinging chair under a tree, they sat down on it and Akeelah began.

    " Do you really like me?"

    " Yeah I do, why do you ask?" He said with a confused look

   " Just that you have never talked to me before neither have you ever looked at me, so it's kinda confusing that you noticed me now"

  " Well Akeelah, I don't know who told you that but believe me I have loved you since middle school, although I don't show it, and I would prove to you, just make you come to the cafe later okay" He said before standing up and walking away.

    " Oh my God, am I dreaming of what, he actually said he loved me since middle school, that means he have been drooling over me from the shadows, time to prove the girls wrong" She stood up and sashayed to the class.

Ooh this is getting interesting💃😏
