Chapter 1 - Wennicel

WENNICEL'S EYES FLUTTERED OPEN WHEN A PAIR OF cold and slender hands touched her cheeks.

"Good morning. " Her best friend's familiar voice cooed near her ears, making a smile creep up to her lips.

"Good morning, Karma. " Wennicel greeted back, opening one eye to look at his face.

"I cooked you breakfast. I can't eat with you since my interview is today."
Karma informed, pulling his hands away from Wen's cheeks.

Wennicel sat up while rubbing her eyes lazily, a small smile on her lips as she leaned her head on the headboard of her bed.

"Good luck. Finally getting a job, eh? " Wennicel teased, making the male laugh at her taunting.

"Sorry if i'm not like you, genius. I would've been employed earlier than you if you hadn't been a hero. " Karma rolled his eyes, and this made the woman chuckle.

"What can i say? Koro-sensei's did well in teaching me medicine. " Wen stood up, walking to the bathroom.

"How's Nagisa and the others? I just returned a few months ago. " Wen questioned, washing her face.

Karma hummed at this, taking his phone out. "Nagisa's doing bad, he said. He didn't grow taller at all, and ended up teaching at a gangster-filled classroom. " Karma cackled, showing Wen Nagisa's picture of teaching in front of delinquents.

"Pfft. . . but that's fine, he'll manage. " Wen giggled, taking her toothbrush from the cup and putting toothpaste on it.

"The others are doing great. Kayano's famous, Yoshida and Muramatsu got their businesses, Itona too. Okuda and Takebayashi are focused on this research, Terasaka's some underling of a politician. Everyone's doing pretty great, walking down the paths sensei offered them. " Karma mumbled, making the woman smile to herself.

She washed her mouth and put her toothbrush back, walking out of the bathroom with a towel in hand.

"Even us. " Wen pointed out, and the man nodded at her words.

"Even us. "

Wennicel looked around the orphanage, wondering where the children went.

Her worries soon disappeared when she heard loud giggles and yells, coming closer to her direction each passing moment.

"Wen-sensei! " The children yelled, engulfing the woman at a massive group hug.

Wen giggled when she fell down with the kids, not minding the impact at all and instead ruffled the kid's hair who was sitting on her stomach.

"Good Morning, Kou-kun." Wen greeted with a smile, the male child nodded his head continuously.

"Sensei, the director complimented my poems! " Kou beamed, making the woman chuckle at his enthusiasm.

"I told you so. You have such a wild imagination and do a great job at writing them down, that's why your poems are wonderful. " Wen ruffled his hair, and the child gave her a toothy grin.

"Sensei! The director also said my drawings looks awesome! " Maria, one of the children informed with a smile.

"Didn't i tell you so? You're perfect for drawing, just like Kou, your imagination has a wide range, but you express them differently than him. Good job, you two. " Wen complimented the two, making them look at each other with a big smile.

"Sensei, me too! I sang for the director and he said he'll have a voice instructor help me enhance my singing more! " Elizabeth informed, making the woman smile at her and ruffle her hair too.

"You're like an angel when you sing, you know?" Wen laughed.

"Director said i act well! " Ty yelled with a toothy grin, and Wen draped an arm over his shoulder.

"No need to tell me, Ty! I already know you're a talented and promising actor! " She ruffled his hair roughly, making the child groan with a slight blush.

The other kids laugh at how pathetic Ty, their oldest, looked beside their doctor. Ty was always the bratty and doesn't like adults, but surprisingly, Wen managed to make him soften up.

"You all did a good job! Since you did, i'll treat you all to the mall if the director agrees! " Wen declared, and the children cheered.

"Yay! Wen-sensei's the best! " They cheered between laughter.

"That's her? The one wearing a white coat? " Rindou questioned, pointing at a woman's figure.

"She's surrounded by children! How are we supposed to kidnap her? " Sanzu complained, clicking his tongue.

"Even if she wasn't, boss said it won't be easy to capture her. " Ran interrupted, observing the woman.

"Huh? Why? She looks so frail and weak. " Sanzu raised a brow.

"Do you really think boss would send us to kidnap one person if she was weak? Three of
us? " Ran asked, irritated at the man's stupidity.

"That's true. He would've sent someone else, some underlings for stupid missions like these. Yet, he sent us. " Rindou added, thinking.

"That must mean. . ." Rindou began, his eyes lighting up.

"Yeah," Ran nodded, looking at Wennicel's figure. A shiver ran down his spine when his eyes met hers, her blue eyes looked like they were shining and for a moment, it looked red.

"She probably killed, or evaded the ones boss first sent. "
