Chapter 2

Hello World! I hope you enjoyed the first chapter, didn't find it boring and stuff! I'll try to make the story as exciting as possible! Uncle Rick has definitely left us with some questions after Blood of Olympus, so this is what I wanted to happen next! Hope you enjoy the story! :D

Nico and Hazel were sitting by the lake. They were the only ones not drinking the past night.

"I can't believe Piper actually said that to Chiron, did you see his face?", Nico said and threw a pebble in the water, "Wow, it touched the water six times, try beating that!" 

"Well, you know her, it's not really a surprise she did that", Hazel said, giggling, "sometimes I get jealous of her for being so confident", she threw a pebble in the water,"oh, six! That's a tie, not bad! Oh, how are the things going on with Solace?" Hazel was the only one (well, except Reyna, who knew absolutely everything about Nico) to whom Nico told about his new crush, Will Solace, head councelor of Apollo cabin. Hazel handled the whole coming out thing pretty well, despite growing up in different times. Maybe that even made it easier, because she understood Nico's childhood pain more than others. As far as his crush on Will, it was kinda obvious for everyone that they liked each other, but Hazel decided not to bring that up.

"Kids from the past!" *so, now apparently everyone uses Leo's nicknames*, Hazel thought and saw Annabeth running towards them. "Hey Annabeth!", Hazel said, "long night, huh?". About a month ago, Hazel would've never said something like that. She was adapting to modern times much quicker since the war has ended.

"Hazel, not you too! It's embarrassing enough that Piper said "that something" to Chiron, and it's a complete lie, Gods, why does everybody think that!" she was really mad.

"Gods, Annabeth, calm down, everything's ok!" Nico stood in his sister's defence. He seemed tense, Hazel noticed, and it probably was because of her question.

"It's ok, I know she didn't mean anything bad, I'm just irritated..." Annabeth saw Nico's expression getting darker, " Nico, is everything ok?"

"Yeah, he's perfectly fine!" Hazel said cheerfully, he managed a smile.

"But you seem-"

"Um, Annabeth, you wanted to ask us something?" Hazel gave her a disapproving look.

"Oh, have you seen Chiron anywhere? I need to set some things straight..." she got Hazel's silent message and changed the topic.

 "You should look for him on the porch, he's probably playing cards, no, monopoly today! Yeah, I saw him there!" 

"Thanks..." Annabeth turned away, "Gods this is a complete mess..."

"Sorry about that", Hazel said to Nico, " I didn't know it was going to upset you."

"No, it's ok, I'm comfortable with it now when, well.. Two weeks ago, about three days after the final battle with Gaia, I told Percy and Annabeth that i had a crush on him for a really long time."

"What? You really did that?" Nico nodded, "Wow, I'm proud of you brother! I had no idea you actually had that much courage!" Hazel seemed stunned.

"Well yeah, I'm completely over him now, I thought about that a lot", Nico laughed, "and Annabeth have me a high five!"

"Well, great! I'm so happy for you!" Hazel smiled, "So, are you gonna answer my question or not?"

"Well, you know", Nico smiled. Seeing Nico happy was really something precious, Hazel thought. "I'm not really sure how I feel." Nico continued, "he is pretty charming though, isn't he?"

"Yeah, he is", Hazel smiled, "you know, you two would make a pretty good couple."

"You really think that?", Hazel nodded. "I mean, with me being a son of Hades, and, Gods Hazel, he is so bright and shiny!"

"Well, that's just my opinion", Hazel stood up, "I need to go and check on Thalia, she probably has a hangover", she laughed. "But, yeah, think about it Nico, it seems like he really likes you." she turned away.

Well, little does he know how much I like him, though, Nico thought and threw another pebble in the lake. "Hazel! Wait! It touched the water nine times, you sure can't beat that!" he yelled cheerfully.

"We'll see about that, Big Brother, remember what you said!" Hazel yelled back, leaving Nico alone by the lake.
