We're just getting started.

Waiting for the light to turn green has become second nature to Kinza, just like adjusting the slipping straps of Mr. Hadid's bag on his shoulder. Though it's easier for him to sling it on his back while riding his Yamaha motorbike, he insists on carrying it in front so Kinza can sit more comfortably behind him. The straps never seem to stay in place, and every time they start to slide, Kinza reaches forward without hesitation, fixing them whenever she gets the chance.

"

Either we're terribly punctual, or there's someone in the control room who turns the light red the moment they spot us," she says, her voice dripping with boredom.

"Definitely the latter, because what else would the control room do besides mess with us, right?" he retorts instantly, his expression completely deadpan.

"Okay but what if the one behind the screen is a woman who finds you handsome and she does it to stare at you for a minute extra?" she continues now that she has his attention.

With a beaming smile he replies, "Now that you put it that way, it does make sense!"

He may have lived for half a century but he looks almost half his age, and he's very proud of it. No matter how many times people compliment Mr. Hadid about his looks, he can't seem to get enough of it.

Knowing this would get him on her side, she smirks to herself before saying,

"Hey Dad, do you think Mom will be as thrilled as you when she finds out about this? By the way, when was the last time you two had a fight?"

"When was the last time you took a bus or walked to work because you like to prioritize your sleep over everything else?" he replies without missing a beat.
He might be old but he's the dad here, the one who taught her the tricks.

"I wouldn't hesitate to leave you to fend for yourself starting tomorrow, kid."

That wipes the smirk right off her face. Getting a ride to work so early in the morning from her dad is a privilege she's not ready to give up just yet. So, she quickly puts on a sweet smile and starts buttering him up with a few more compliments, hoping to smooth things over until the light turns green.

That's all the woman behind the screen gets for today!

They're definitely punctual people—especially since Kinza is ten minutes late to work again! This marks the fifth time in a row that she strolls in late, and she runs straight into her manager, who is clearly not impressed. Kinza offers her a hasty promise that she’ll definitely be on time from tomorrow. The manager, a kind person at heart, glares at her kindly while muttering some incoherent words under her breath.

"You stand here one more minute and I'll make you wear the worst piece we've ever made and work in it the whole day."

Yup. Very kind, indeed.

Kinza has spent the last 18 months at 'The Kim Apparels' as a Social Media Manager, and saying she loves her job is an understatement. Not only does she work for a top-tier company, but she also has the luxury of using her phone and engaging with social media without the constant fear of getting yelled at.

Don't get her wrong, she's not the slacking kind but a really hard-working person and the proof lies in the profit charts of finance department. However, having access to social media is a privilege that she relishes, especially since it means she can gawk at Chris Evans whenever she wants. You could say it’s become another part of her daily routine!
