Warmness grew to my skin, feeling the quilt sheet tangled around my body. My breathing was calm, and all sounds were silent except the wind ramming against the window that was covered by a long red curtain. I inhaled a deep breath, filling my lungs with air. As I opened my eyes noticing a beam of light shining across the room, out from the little opened curtain. Using my elbows to guide my body to sit up straight, noticing all blinds are closed and barely any sunlight got through them. My body felt weak as if all energy was sucked out of my body. Even mentally drained, from all that dawned yesterday. Thinking about having to flea my home, it scared me, and it still does. Emotions struck like a pile of bricks knowing that I had no home...
Thinking about it again, where am I? How did I get here. I swung my legs over the bed, attempting to stand on my feet. Once I stood, grabbing the robe beside my bed, and wrapping it around me, and heading to the door. I held the handle, turning the knob ever so slowly, so no creaks would creak.
The door was wide open, and there was nothing but darkness in front of my eyes, it gave me the chills just staring inside it. Taking all the courage I had and take a step inside the darkness, away from the door. After a few steps I could barely see the light anymore. It was frightening, even if there was light outside, it was darkness on the inside of what I assumed was a mansion. I held my arms close to my stomach ringing them around my waist, to aid with the anxiousness.
Still striding along the dark path, I found two red eyes staring at me interestedly. My breathing stopped once something fell behind me, and once again I felt the breathing down my neck. I turned my head behind...nothing. I turned my head back to the front, and the dark red eyes were gone, nowhere to be seen. I kept looking around until a sense caught my breath...the smell had a metallic scent but smelt so...delicious.
Following the odor, leading to a humongous kitchen, that could fit at least 500 people in the kitchen. The ceiling light was on, and laying on the kitchen counter was...
A MAN!! Was he dead? I'm not sure, smells like it. I sauntered closer to the body, giving it a sniff. My senses twisted, I had the urge to bite his flesh, whiffing the metallic liquid that dripped from his chest. His neck was turned to the side, almost making it look inviting. Thinking about it made me sick, thinking to bite someone's neck and drink the red liquid oozing out. But I couldn't hold it back anymore. I held his neck biting hard, tasting the metallic saltiness that spread on my lips to my tongue. Once my teeth were through his skin, I couldn't stop licking and sucking the part I bitten. I felt as if all my strength was regaining what was gone. I kept my mouth on his neck "you know that's not your food? Right", I retracted from the dead man's neck turning to find the blondie leaning on the door frame with his arm crossed with a smirk on his face. I stared deep in his soul, feeling the anger burn from me, as he disturbed my feed. I was going to return but I got stopped by the speed of light when he rushed to me.
We glared at each other, turning to just staring in each other's eyes, observing every bit of each other's faces. My heart began beating from my chest "you mind if I have bite...?" I shook my head "no..." I began ever so quietly, beginning to blush once he took a bite from the other side of the man's neck. Sinking his teeth that spiked out from his mouth, cut through his skin deeply. His lips closed on the cut, sucking the red liquid slowly. My face went rouge, just glancing at him every so often and I looking down to the black tile floor.
He withdrawn from the dead man's neck and his eyes wondered to my own Y/E/C orbs, wiping the blood that drooled out from the side of his mouth. He gained back his breath and spoke "Thomas...what's your name, little lady?", I blushed once again trying to hide it dropping my head "Y/N, nice to meet you Thomas". He offered his hand out, and I took it willingly. Thomas grazed the side of my chin lifting it up, so I faced him. We were interrupted by a cough behind us "so you're the stray half-blood", the lady spoke moving to us both with a stern, unhappy expression. I was puzzled for moments realizing what she had just said "what's a half-blood?", the women stopped for a moment glancing a Thomas a few times. Everything just came at once; my thoughts were running a million miles an hour. I felt the panic take over my body completely "b-but h-how, y-your" I bolted through dorms up the tiled stairs into the room I found myself in, not worrying about the darkness that surrounded me. Hearing some footsteps that raced after me, I kept running through the halls finding the room with a little light peaking from out the door. I slammed the door shut once I was inside, leaning my head and sliding my body to the ground, hearing a thump on the door with feet shuffling with it. I could sense it was Thomas, but I didn't want to talk to anyone, my whole life was a lie, and I never even knew. Is this why I'm adopted?...
(Time Skip#)
I refused to eat dinner as I sat in my room analyzing all that had happened over the hours. I sat on my bed reading my book near the window ceil till I heard a knock on my door. I closed my book placing it on the empty side of the chair beside me, opening the knob of the door to see the one and only Thomas. He entered with a black cloak on "come with me". He took a tight grip on my hand speeding through the halls to a large cylindrical room, with a light above, Tasha, Mark, Ava, and Jack were waiting for Thomas and I. Thomas pulled me towards them, as we stood in this circular symbolled eye, it had four stars on the outside and an eye in the middle of the symbol. They all stood on the stars inside the symbol when I stood on the outside of the symbol. The one light that kept it from being pitch black went out. I gasped trying hard not to panic, it was dark, and I couldn't see a thing. I closed my eyes shut when a hand clasped my own and I gripped it with all my strength "open your eyes..." a voice who I realized was Thomas, whispered sweetly in my ear as he held my hand. A blue light grew on the symbol as now everyone stood outside of the circle like they were waiting for something. Like on cue, the symbol dimmed and transforming to a staircase bellow. Thomas pulled me along, down the staircase. It was lit neon blue so we could see where our feet were going.
Once we made it down the only brightness in the room, there was a red gemstone. Thomas led me to his side as Tasha held something in her hand...
A KNIFE!! What is she going to do with that!? Is she going to kill me? panic engulfed my body. Thomas leaned against my ear as if he could hear my heart thumping so loudly "are you alright?", I nodded slowly staring at the knife in Tasha's hand, who handed it to Mark. He held the knife and leaned it against his palm, cutting it, letting the blood drip from his hand. He placed it over the red gemstone and let the drips of blood drop on it.
Thomas left my hand empty going toward the line. I stood without a word awaiting what's next, as everyone dripped their own blood on the gemstone. Everyone's heads turned toward me, as Thomas gestured the knife in Tasha's hand, that already dripped with all their bloods. I stepped forward to Tasha taking the knife out of her hand, placing the cold sharpness against my palm. It took a few seconds to gain courage. And with no other thoughts I slit my skin letting it flood with redness, pooling on the ground. I found myself glaring at the pool of blood glistening in my hand, not taking my eyes of it. I felt the acuity against my lips, biting hard as fangs slipped out. I didn't focus that much until I opened my mouth licking my bottom lip, staring intently at the blood that trickled down my hand. A hand grabbed my mouth clasping it, I wriggled trying to get away from their grip as they held my waist tightly against them, letting me feel every inch of their body against my back. Groaning and grunting while placing my hand over the gemstone, which dripped of red liquid. I breathlessly huffed and puffed as they took there hand away from my mouth, holding my waist closely almost like they were cuddling me "calm down...it's just an urge. Your hungry but you need to calm down, alright". Thomas whispered his raspy voice. My breathing was kept at a fast pace, while Thomas's breath trickled down my neck. Even without thinking my fangs turned to his neck, about to bite until the gem exploded with light radiating around the cave, giving it beams of brightness as the carving on the walls turned a light shade of red showing history around the cave that now was lit red "This is the Empire of The Half-Bloods and Full-Bloods".
